Srixon – Introducing the latest Srixon Soft Feel, Soft Feel Lady & Soft Feel Brite golf balls

September 10, 2020 – Srixon, a global leader in golf ball performance has announced the launch of the next generation of Soft Feel, Soft Feel Lady and Soft Feel Brite golf balls.

Building upon Srixon’s continued success in the golf ball market, the new Soft Feel Lady officially launches into stores across Continental Europe from the 1st October 2020, with the Soft Feel and Soft Feel Brite following from the 1st November 2020.

“This is our 12th generation Soft Feel golf ball, putting us at the forefront of the low-compression distance ball category”, said Lionel Caron, Srixon Sports Europe’s President. “With this new model, we’re excited to give golfers our longest Soft Feel to date, in a ball that maintains the signature feel golfers expect from a Soft Feel”.

The all-new Soft Feel features Srixon’s softest FastLayer Core. Yet this softer core is more resilient, snapping back into shape more quickly after impact for added ball speed, while dramatically reducing long game sidespin for increased accuracy.

Soft Feel’s low compression design and soft, thin cover provides all-around performance with distance off the tee and increased greenside spin that all players crave. With the 338 Speed Dimple Pattern, the new Soft Feel cuts through the wind for longer, straighter shots from tee to green. For the player that values feel most of all, the all-new Soft Feel from Srixon delivers on its namesake.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES INSIDE THE NEW SOFT FEEL

  • Fastlayer Core: With a soft centre that gradually transitions to a firm outer edge, the FastLayer Core gives Soft Feel incredible feel and great distance off the tee.
  • 338 Speed Dimple Pattern: Reduce drag at launch and increase lift during descent to deliver better overall distance, especially in windy conditions.
  • Soft, Thin Cover: Provides that pure, soft feel that defines Soft Feel, while adding enhanced greenside spin on those tough pitches and chips.
  • Matte Visual Performance (Soft Feel Brite model only): Three Brite colour options – Red, Orange, and Green – enhance visibility so it’s easy to find your ball.

The Srixon Soft Feel Lady, offered in Soft White and Passion Pink will be out 1st October, the Srixon Soft Feel, offered in Soft White and Tour Yellow and Soft Feel Brite available in Brite Red, Brite Orange and Brite Green will be out 1st November 2020 at an RRP of 25€ per dozen.

Srixon – John Catlin finish victorious at Valderrama in 4 win weekend for Srixon Staff players

September 7, 2020 – Srixon staff player, John Catlin’s career reached new heights in the Spanish sunshine on Sunday as he claimed a maiden European Tour title at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, overcoming a two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer, in a thrilling battle at Real Club Valderrama.

Catlin started the final round two shots clear on Sunday, but bogeys at the forth, tenth, 12th and 14th meant he was now tied for the lead with four holes top lay at the famed Sotogrande venue. A mistake from Kaymer on the par 5 17th hole meant the American was then tied for the lead heading down the 72nd hole.

A composed drive down the fairway and iron shot into the heart of the green set up a two putt par that proved to be enough to seal a first victory on the European Tour. The win propels Catlin up to 35th in the Race to Dubai Rankings and earns him a two-year exemption on the European Tour.

“I’m massively excited top lay the big events”, John Catlin added. “That’s what we play for, we all want top lay against the best. That’s why playing with guys like Martin, and I played with Rory, Brooks, playing with those guys just shows you that you can do it so having the opportunity to lay those events is just fantastic.”

“I’d planned on playing everything for the rest of the year, but being able to pick and choose – the one event that has stuck out is having the chance top lay Wentworth. That’s such a world-class event, I’ve been watching i ton TV for the last 15 years. To have the opportunity top lay that tournament, I’m very excited about that.”

John Catlin’s Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters winning bag featured the following Srixon and Cleveland Golf products:

  • Hybrid: Srixon ZU85 (3 and 4)
  • Irons: Srxon Z-Forged (5-PW)
  • Wedges: Cleveland Golf RTX-4 (50º, 54 and 60º)

“This is a magnificent achievement to amass such a significant number of wins around the world, especially considering it is just 10 years since we launched the first generation of the Z-STAR”, said Lionel Caron, President of Srixon Continental Europe.

“On behalf of the whole team we must congratulate all of our staff players in helping us reach this landmark moment as well as applaud the hard work our designers and engineers put in every single day to continually improve this exceptional tour level ball.”

Srixon – Introduction of the all-new Z-STAR 2019 golf ball series, built for distance

January 21, 2019 – Srixon, a global leader in golf ball technology and innovation, has announced the launch of the sixth generation Z-STAR Series golf ball. The Srixon Z-STAR XV and Z-STAR are available in Pure White and Tour Yellow and officially launch across Continental Europe on March 1, 2019.

“Distance is one of the major strengths of my game, and I trust the performance of the Z-STAR XV like nothing else on Tour,” said professional Cameron Champ, who currently leads the Tour in driving distance. “The exceptional ball speed and distance that I’m able to generate with the Z-STAR Series gives me the unique opportunity to compete at an elite level week-in-and-week-out.”

The sixth generation Z-STAR Series features the totally new FastLayer Core, a revolutionary way to make a golf ball core. It starts soft in the center and gradually becomes firmer around its edge. This greatly enhances ball speed for maximum distance performance, while maintaining exceptional feel at impact.

“The new Z-STAR Series golf balls are built on top of the heritage of one of the most successful, trusted Tour golf balls in the market,” said Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development. “The exceptional ball speed and distance of both Z-STAR offerings are driven by the new FastLayer Core technology, producing both outstanding ball speed and launch conditions tuned for the high swing-speed, better player.”

The new Z-STAR Series golf balls feature new Spin Skin technology with Slide-Ring Material (SeRM), a urethane compound that coats the cover of every Z-STAR Series golf ball. By taking unprecedented levels of shearing force without breaking its molecular bonds, Spin Skin with SeRM is able to dig deep into your wedge and iron grooves, dramatically increasing friction and maximizing spin for more control and more stopping power on every shot.

The all-new Z-STAR Series golf balls are the first and only in the world to use Slide-Ring Material, providing a competitive advantage that cannot be matched.

“Engineered for more spin and control, the Z-STAR Series features a Spin Skin coating enhanced with SeRM, an extremely flexible material,” Jeff Brunski said. “Never before has Srixon combined so many technologies in one golf ball, to produce more friction for more spin around the green.”

The 338 Speed Dimple Pattern on each Z-STAR Series golf ball improves overall aerodynamics for better flight performance, even in the toughest wind conditions, with drivers, woods and irons.

The sixth generation Z-STAR XV features a softer urethane cover and Spin Skin with SeRM, which significantly increases greenside spin for more short game control. It features a four-piece construction with a smaller inner core and larger outer core for more distance off the tee.

“The new Z-STAR XV is hotter off the driver,” said four-time Tour winner Keegan Bradley. “It’s definitely longer with my irons as well. So, it’s a ball that’s going to help you throughout the entire bag.”

Similarly, the new Z-STAR golf ball features Spin Skin with SeRM, which increases greenside spin and short game control, while maintaining that soft feel. In addition, the 2019 Z-STAR employs a three-piece construction and slightly increased compression with a harder mantle layer for more ball speed, reduced spin and more distance.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES:

  • NEW FASTLAYER CORE: The FastLayer Core starts soft in the center and gradually becomes firm around its edge, giving high-speed players exceptional feel and enhanced ball speed for maximum distance.
  • 4TH GENERATION SPIN SKIN WITH SeRM: A new coating with flexible molecular bonds digs deep into wedge and iron grooves, maximizing spin for more control and more stopping power.
  • 338 SPEED DIMPLE PATTERN: The 338 Speed Dimple Pattern offers less drag and more lift to boost overall distance, while flying straight even in the toughest wind conditions.

  • Availability: Launch across Continental Europe on March 1, 2019.
  • RRP: 49,99€ per dozen.
