May 5, 2026 – The tour launch of Titleist’s GTS metalwoods family continues this week with the debut of the NEW GTS300 mini driver on the PGA TOUR.
Available to all golfers this coming July, GTS300 joins the tour-proven lineup of GTS drivers and fairways that has received immediate validation from players across the worldwide professional tours.
NEW GTS2, GTS3 and GTS4 drivers are already in the bags of more than 50 players on the PGA TOUR since their introduction in late March at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. That list includes Jordan Spieth (GTS2 9.0°), who was among the five players that moved into GTS at last week’s Cadillac Championship.
The most played driver on the PGA TOUR for the last seven seasons and counting, Titleist is constantly monitoring evolving player needs and performance demands at the game’s highest level.
GTS300 represents the latest synthesis of Titleist’s metalwood technologies and continued collaboration with the game’s best players — including Cameron Young and Justin Thomas, whose feedback and testing helped influence the new model’s final design.

January 28, 2019 – It’s less than two weeks since he put his new Honma Golf equipment into play, and the world golf leader Justin Rose has responded with a convincing victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, consolidating his status as No.1 in the OWGR. With four rounds of 63, 66, 69 and 69, and 267 strokes in total, he came in ahead of all his rivals with 21 under par and two strokes ahead.
In Torrey Pines he’s shown that the change, after two decades with TaylorMade, hasn’t been a problem. After finishing 34th tied in the Desert Classic of the previous week, it seemed that nobody expected the English player to adapt so quickly to his new driver and achieve such consistent scores. This has generated great expectation especially regarding the new Honma driver and, of course, the irons.
There’s no doubt that the Honma equipment responds wonderfully, lead by the Honma TW747 460 driver, fitted with the Honma Vizard FD-7X shaft, with which he recorded an average of 309,9y (303,5y in 2018) in Driving Distance, with a ball speed of 186mph (179 last year), and achieving the 62.50% of the fairways in Driving Accuracy. “I can’t believe how good the driver is, and how well I’ve driven the ball this week on a tough test,” said Justin Rose after the victory.
In addition, the performance of his Honma T//World MB Rose Proto irons with the Lamkin REL ACE58R grips was particularly efficient, with which he finished second in the Greens in Regulation percentage, with 77.78%. By the way, he was involved in the design of the irons with the Honma engineers.
His strong performance with them was evident in the first two rounds, where he took 32 of the 36 greens, to score cards of 63 and 66 shots, which gave him a comfortable gap to face the weekend.
“I really felt comfortable with the clubs immediately,” added Justin Rose, who celebrated his tenth victory on the PGA Tour and became the most successful English golfer in America for over half a century. “It’s a whole new look for me, but I don’t mind if it’s going to produce this golf”.

From his previous brand TaylorMade he still has the influence of the TP5 golf ball and the M6 fairway wood, but the other great novelty in his bag is the Axis 1 putter, a mallet with wings and an original hosel design that produces a perfectly balanced putter, helping him to produce a pure putt. In the statistics he came third tied in Putts per GIR.
January 31, 2018 – Tony Finau, a PGA Tour winner and one of the longest hitters on tour, has signed a multi-year agreement to represent PING, company President John K. Solheim announced. The 28-year-old Salt Lake City native led the just-completed Farmers Insurance Open with an average drive of 325.6 yards and is second on tour in average driving distance at 328.8 yards. He switched to the new PING G400 Max driver at this season’s Sony Open. He will make his debut as a PING Pro at this week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open.
“Tony is very charismatic and has tremendous character,”John K. Solheim said. “He’s great with the fans and well-respected by his fellow tour players. He’s one of the most athletic players on tour who uses his strength to generate a lot of power -– he can really hit the ball a long way and has the overall game to become a consistent winner on tour. We’ve developed a great relationship with him in the last year as he’s looked to play the best equipment available for his game. We believe it’s a great fit for both of us.”
At 6′ 4″ and 200 pounds, Finau was a premier high school athlete in several sports, most notably basketball. But golf was his first passion, and he turned pro out of high school at age 17. He earned his PGA Tour card for the 2015 season with a win on the Web.com Tour in 2014. In 2016, he won the Puerto Rico Open on the PGA Tour.

January 11, 2018 – Eight-time PGA Tour winner K.J. Choi, the first Korean to earn a PGA Tour card and to win on tour, has signed an agreement to play PING equipment, PING Chairman & CEO John A. Solheim announced yesterday. Choi will make his debut as a PING Pro at the Sony Open in Hawaii, which begins Thursday.
Asia’s winningest golfer, Choi, 47, has amassed 22 victories worldwide since turning pro in 1994 and he’s spent 40 weeks in the top 10 in the world rankings. His first professional victory was the 1996 Korean Open. Since joining the PGA Tour in 2000, he has earned more than $32 million, his first tour win coming in 2002. His most notable title is the 2011 Players Championship.
“K.J. has played a lot of PING equipment in his career and been a friend to us going back to 2011, and he’s been a consistently strong performer on tour for many years. We’re proud to make him an official member of the PING team,”John A. Solheim said.
“He’s a friendly, highly likeable person and widely respected by his peers. He’s been on four Presidents Cup teams, playing in three and serving as vice captain of the International Team in 2015, so he’s competed at the highest level internationally. He’ll bring the PING brand tremendous exposure and credibility around the world, especially in South Korea, where he’s extremely popular among golfers.”
A powerlifter in his native South Korea before picking up golf, Choi said he’s had an on going connection with PING in Korea and the U.S. for years and is happy to formalize the relationship. “I have long admired PING equipment for its quality and I feel it’s a true collaboration when I work with the tour-player staff. I can be very particular about what I want from a golf club, and their attention to detail is as keen as mine, so they always find the right solution for me and my game. I’m truly excited to be on board with PING and very much look forward to the season ahead.”

This week he’ll rely on a G400 driver and fairway woods, G400 hybrid, G400 irons, Glide 2.0 wedges, and a Sigma G Piper putter. Choi’s headwear and golf bag will feature PING branding. February 10, 2015 – Playing what is considered one of the sternest tests on the PGA Tour at the long and unforgiving pair of Torrey Pines layouts, it was TaylorMade Golf’s Jason Day who emerged victorious, winning a four man playoff on the South Course to capture the Farmers Insurance Open. The victory is Day’s second win in eight weeks, having also won the Franklin Templeton Shootout in December.

The win is Jason Day’s third on the PGA Tour, having previously won the Byron Nelson Championship in 2010 and the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship last year.
Day’s win is his second with the R15 driver, which he added to the bag just ten days prior to capturing the Franklin Templeton Shootout in December.
Day used his new AeroBurner fairway wood which took the place of his trusty RBZ in his bag.
The win is the first for adidas Golf’s new adipower boostfootwear, designed for the athlete to be the most comfortable, high-performance footwear the company has ever created.
With just under 40% of the field (61/156 players) playing a TaylorMade driver, the brand was once again the #1 Driver in play.
