Bridgestone Golf – Chris Gotterup Secures Victory at Sony Open With Bridgestone Tour B X Prototype

January 20, 2026 – Bridgestone Golf staffer Chris Gotterup secured victory using the VS Black with MindSet prototype golf ball of the Bridgestone Tour B X line, on Sunday at the Sony Open 2026 in Hawaii with a final round of 64 and 16-under-par total.

Like last year’s win at the Genesis Scottish Open, Sunday’s victory was marked by powerful ball flight that pierced through the wind with big-time distance.

“I am so proud of my performance this weekend and I couldn’t have done it without Bridgestone and the VS Proto Black with MindSet” said the New Jersey native.

“The VS Black helped me control my ball flight and trajectory in tricky conditions today, and I was absolutely sending it off the tee. This ball, now the new TOUR B X, will be my secret weapon for the foreseeable future. I can’t wait for it to become available for everyone to play.”

Gotterup’s performance was highlighted by solid ball-striking and creativity around the greens, including Thursday’s 56-foot bunker shot for birdie on the second hole and Sunday’s 203-yard approach to 21 feet on the ninth hole.

Despite tricky crosswinds and challenging greens, Gotterup relied on his prodigious power and trajectory control, pairing his Bridgestone golf ball with his Bridgestone 220 MB irons to tame Waialae Country Club with relative ease.

“Chris’s win today underscores years of investment by Bridgestone Golf in a new material discovery that we are excited to reveal at the PGA Show this week,” said Dan Murphy, president of Bridgestone Golf.

“We’re excited to have Chris on our team and thrilled to see him succeed with the VS Black prototype, which we will unveil tomorrow as the new 2026 TOUR B X.”

What began as one of the most ambitious R&D undertakings in Bridgestone Golf’s history evolved into a multi-year engineering effort.

Four years ago, Bridgestone’s R&D engineers began developing an all-new material, exploring more than 20 different material formulations, while producing more than 240 prototypes across multiple distinct model variations.

With the new material discovery, Bridgestone Golf’s VS prototype lineup pushes the limits of what is possible in golf ball construction and performance.

The launch of the new TOUR B family will be today at PGA Show Demo Day in Orlando, Florida.

Bridgestone Golf – Kurt Kitayama wins 3M Open 2025 with Bridgestone Tour B X MindSet golf ball

July 29, 2025 – Bridgestone Golf staffer Kurt Kitayama secured his first win of the season on Sunday at the 3M Open with a final round of 65 and 23-under-par total. The victory, made possible in part by his use of the Bridgestone TOUR B X MindSet golf ball, is Kitayama’s second PGA Tour win and qualifies him for the 2025 FedEx Cup Playoffs.

“We’re thrilled for Kurt and proud that he got the win using our TOUR B X MindSet golf ball,” said Dan Murphy, president of Bridgestone Golf.

“We knew he was talented when he joined our Tour staff and can’t wait to see what he does next. It’s great to see MindSet win two of the last three Tour events, further validating Bridgestone’s results-driven technology.”

Kitayama’s win was highlighted by a course record-tying 11-under-par 60 on Saturday and followed up with a 65 on Sunday. His 20 birdies over the weekend also set a record as the most birdies-or-better in the final two rounds of a Tour win in the past 40 years.

Overall, the UNLV alum displayed precision ball-striking and incredible putting, reinforcing the TOUR B X MindSet’s role in optimizing focus and performance under pressure.

“It means so much to come away today with the win, and I couldn’t have done it without Bridgestone,” said the California native. “I know I can count on the golf ball. That’s the best golf I’ve ever played on the weekend and trusting my ball is a big part of that.”

The TOUR B X MindSet golf ball played by Kurt Kitayama features Bridgestone’s revolutionary REACTIV X system that combines a REACTIV IQ cover with a new XCLRNT mid-layer for powerful distance off the tee and shot-stopping spin around the greens. It is the same model played by Jason Day and Chris Gotterup, the recent winner of the Scottish Open.

Bridgestone Golf – Chris Gotterup braveheart performance seals Scottish Open win with the Tour B X Mindset ball

July 15, 2025 – Bridgestone Golf staffer Chris Gotterup achieved victory on Sunday at the Genesis Scottish Open 2025 with a final round 66 and 15- under-par total. The victory follows his first PGA Tour win at the Myrtle Beach Classic in 2024 and gains him entry into his first Open Championship, which will be contested at Royal Portrush this week.

“We’re extremely happy for Chris and proud that he achieved this great victory with our TOUR B X MindSet golf ball and our 220 MB forged irons and Tour staff bag,” said Dan Murphy, President of Bridgestone Golf.  “We knew he was destined for great things when he joined our Tour staff, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the upcoming Open Championship.”

Gotterup’s inspired victory was highlighted by a course record nine-under-par 61 in the second round and a final round 66. After a bogey at the first hole on Sunday, Gotterup leaned heavily on his mental focus, empowered by Mindset technology, to hold off a world-class field of challengers and secure the win.

“This is the biggest win of my career so far and I couldn’t have done it without Bridgestone,” said Chris Gotterup, the New Jersey native. “The TOUR B X MindSet is the best golf ball I’ve ever played due to an incredible combination of distance and control with the ability to keep me mentally locked in, and the 220 MB forged irons are consistent and soft like butter, making trajectory and distance control extremely easy.”

The TOUR B X MindSet golf ball played by Gotterup features Bridgestone’s game-changing REACTIV X system that combines a REACTIV iQ cover with a new XCLRNT mid layer for explosive distance off the tee and shot stopping spin around the greens.

Bridgestone Golf – Mao Saigo wins her first Major, the Chevron Championship 2025, with TOUR B XS golf ball

May 1, 2025 – Bridgestone Golf proudly congratulates staffer Mao Saigo on capturing her seventh career victory and first Major title Sunday at the Chevron Championship 2025. Saigo’s confidence in her Bridgestone TOUR B XS golf ball led to a win marked by a historic five-way playoff.

The 23-year-old LPGA standout earned her first major title at The Club at Carlton Woods in Spring, Texas, a career-defining moment that highlights Bridgestone Golf’s mission to deliver Tour-quality technology that brings out the best in players at every level.

“I’m very excited to achieve what I always dreamed of, my first LPGA win and winning a major championship,” said Mao Saigo. “The conditions were very tough, but the Bridgestone TOUR B XS greatly helped me with distance off the tee and spin around the greens. I will continue to give my best in every tournament and focus on becoming #1 in the world!”

The five-way playoff was the largest in LPGA major history, after Saigo, Kim, Yin, Jutanugarn, and Duncan tied for seven-under in the final round. Saigo clinched the win with a three-foot putt for birdie on the first playoff hole.

“We are thrilled to see Mao win her first major and proud that she played the ball we fit her into, the TOUR B XS,” said Bridgestone Golf President and CEO Dan Murphy. “Mao is a rising star, and her remarkable performance is just a glimpse of what’s to come.”

Saigo, the 2024 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, is the first Japanese woman to win the Chevron Championship. While this is her first major win on the American LPGA Tour, she has six victories under her belt on the LPGA of Japan Tour.

The TOUR B XS golf ball used by Saigo to win the Chevron Championship features Bridgestone’s game-changing REACTIV X system that combines a REACTIV iQ cover with a new XCLRNT mid layer for explosive distance off the tee and shot-stopping spin around the greens.

Bridgestone Golf – A solid Tour Team, with more and more staff players using MindSet technology

January 22, 2025 – Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball-Fitter in Golf, has announced major Tour news, including the extension of contracts for key staffers, the signing of new players, and the conversion of multiple staffers to the brand’s MindSet technology.

Long time Bridgestone staffers Tiger Woods, Matt Kuchar, Fred Couples, and Boo Weekley, as well as relative newcomer Chris Gotterup, all signed contract extensions with the brand. Each player will continue to play a TOUR B golf ball while Gotterup will also play Bridgestone forged 221 CB irons.

“I have played a ball manufactured by Bridgestone since my memorable 2000 season. Since the beginning, Bridgestone has continued to innovate and lead the golf ball category in terms of technology, performance, and consistency,” said Tiger Woods.

“They are great at what they do, and I look forward to continuing to work with their R&D team to design industry leading golf balls.”

Gotterup, who signed with Bridgestone in ’23 before getting his first PGA Tour win at the Myrtle Beach Classic with the TOUR B X golf ball in ’24, is equally excited to re-up with Bridgestone, as he will also be playing the company’s premium forged irons in ’25.

“I’ve been playing the TOUR B X since I turned pro, and I know it’s the best fit for my game. Bridgestone’s golf ball fitting really opened my eyes to the kind of performance I can gain from playing the right ball,” said Chris Gotterup.

“And after working with the Bridgestone team I’ve also decided to utilize Mindset technology in ’25. I think it could potentially be a game changer for my mental focus moving forward.”

In addition to Woods, Kuchar, Gotterup, Fred Couples, Boo Weekley, and Jason Day, Bridgestone has added several new players to their Tour staff including proven winners Kurt Kitayama and Harry Hall, as well as existing Bridgestone staffer Takumi Kanaya joining the PGA Tour as a rookie for the 2025 season.

“Building a tour team is part art and part science. We crunch the data and study trends for each player but sometimes it comes down to instinct and judgment on who to recruit to ‘Team Bridgestone’. We believe we have the perfect mix of generational icons, proven winners, and up-and-comers,” said Dan Murphy, President of Bridgestone Golf.

“The sponsorship game has changed dramatically over the past few years as performance is more important than ever. There is a lot at stake each week for these guys and having the most optimized equipment has never been so important. That trend really plays into our favor and one of the reasons for our current expansion.”

Indeed, many pros have started to put much less emphasis on maximizing their gear endorsements and more on playing the optimum gear for their game, as the sport itself has become more lucrative in recent years. Not surprisingly, Bridgestone’s new Tour staffers were drawn to the TOUR B performance more than anything when choosing to sign with the brand.

Englishman Harry Hall who joined the PGA Tour in 2022 is one of the newest members of Team Bridgestone. Harry had a solid 2024 season that included a win at the 2024 ISCO Championship. Hall has been fit into the TOUR B X and will have Bridgestone branding on his signature newsboy style hat.

“For me, the final test for an equipment is in tournament conditions. The Bridgestone team fit me into the TOUR B X, but I really wanted on-course validation before formally joining the staff,” said Harry Hall.

“After these past two weeks in Hawaii ay Sentry and Sony, I knew I had found the right ball for my game. The ball speed is there, along with control around the green, and stability and consistency in the wind.”

Also joining Team Bridgestone is Kurt Kitayama, who played his college golf at UNLV, has been on the PGA Tour since 2021 and is the winner of the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Kitayama will game the TOUR B XS MindSet and feature prominent Bridgestone branding on his hat and golf bag.

“When you are playing well, the idea of making an equipment change can be a bit scary. The Bridgestone team flew out to Vegas and took me through the entire ball fitting process. Very quickly I realized that putting the TOUR B XS in play was going to be a no-brainer for me,” said Kurt Kitayama.

“The performance of the XS is superior and the spin control with this ball is next level. The bonus of switching to this ball is the MindSet technology, which I think will be a significant help to my pre-shot routine and overall mental game.”

MindSet is a unique visual marking on the golf ball that Bridgestone developed to help golfers enhance their mental focus and play better golf. The MindSet technique was pioneered by Jason Day, which he debuted on Tour during the 2024 season. Joining Jason Day in playing MindSet on the PGA Tour in ’25 will be Kitayama, and Gotterup. On the Champions Tour Fred Couples and Boo Weekley will put MindSet in play.

“The concept of putting a visual cue on a ball that helps the mental game was a very a forward-thinking idea last year when we launched MindSet,” said Elliot Mellow, Golf Ball Marketing Manager, Bridgestone Golf.

“Fast forward a year and not only do we have more of Team Bridgestone playing MindSet, but we also have new guys coming into the fold in part due to MindSet. On the PGA Tour there have been movements in the past that had a significant effect on scoring – the explosion of metal wood technology was huge, and so was the fitness craze brought on by Tiger Woods and others. Now it looks like the mental game is coming to the forefront and MindSet is the only golf ball technology that can deliver a meaningful advantage for both pros as well as amateurs.”

Bridgestone Golf – MindSet on all 2024 TOUR B golf balls, a breakthrough visual technology for maximum performance

March 14, 2024 – Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball-Fitter in Golf, has introduced MindSet, a proprietary visual technology available on all four of the 2024 TOUR B Series golf balls. The MindSet process was created by Bridgestone Golf staffer Jason Day and his long-time mental coach, Jason Goldsmith, and consists of three easy steps that have been critical to Day’s success for the better part of a decade.

“Jason Goldsmith and I worked together to develop a pre-shot system that went beyond the simple visualization I did when I was a kid,” said Jason Day. “He understood how critical pre-shot visualization was to my game, but also knew I needed a more structured, complete routine. Now Bridgestone has made The MindSet process available to all golfers, which is going to be a game changer for a lot of people.”

The process consists of three simple steps that work with the MindSet graphic: IDENTIFY, VISUALIZE, FOCUS.

The first step, in which players look at the outer, red circle of the MindSet graphic, involves making critical decisions regarding the upcoming shot. This step requires the player to IDENTIFY the target and gather information regarding distance, wind conditions, club selection, and shot shape.

Once these decisions have been made, the inner yellow circle prompts the player to move to step two, which is to VISUALIZE the shot path. This step is about connecting to the target and includes visualizing the shot to the target.

In the final step, the green dot prompts full FOCUS on execution. As everyone knows, green means “go,” and focusing on the green dot enables the golfer to clear their mind of all thoughts and swing away with confidence.

“With all athletes there is a struggle to separate analytic thought from athletic performance,” said Jason Goldsmith, performance coach. “The analytical piece is important for shot preparation and calculation, but it is equally important to engage the creative aspects of your brain to allow your inner athlete the freedom to perform.”

Bridgestone has a long history of golf ball innovations dating back to their first model in 1935, and has historically led the industry in polymer science and golf ball construction breakthroughs. With MindSet, Bridgestone has set out to enhance the performance of the TOUR B golf ball by giving players the tools and skills to actually play better.

“The MindSet process allows anyone to do what all professional and high-level players do, which is to utilize a pre-shot routine that gives them the focus they need to perform at their best,” said Elliot Mellow, golf ball marketing manager.

“When we started developing the pattern, we knew it needed to have a flow and a purpose to it. After some experimentation we came to the current MindSet pattern with three different colored circles that provide a natural progression through the process. With feedback from Jason Goldsmith, validation from Jason Day, and extensive scientific consumer testing, we are confident that we’ve developed a product that will help all golfers play better.”

Prior to the MindSet pattern, Bridgestone Golf has never followed the trend of printing designs on the exterior of any golf ball models for the purpose of decoration. However, the MindSet pattern is designed to be used for more purposeful shot execution and improved focus off the tee and on the green.

“We have always believed that the only reason to sell printed golf balls was if it provided added value to consumers,” said Dan Murphy, President of Bridgestone Golf.

“MindSet is our first foray into the printed category and it is designed to legitimately help players improve their focus and play better golf.  We’re proud of this innovation and know it will benefit players of all ability levels.”

Though Jason Day has been working on the MindSet process with his mental coach for years he began officially playing the ’24 TOUR B X with the MindSet pattern at The Sentry tournament in Hawaii. Bridgestone’s new MindSet technology is available in Spain through its distributor Holiday Golf.

Bridgestone Golf – The groundbreaking new TOUR B lineup pushes the performance with input from Tiger

March 1, 2024 – Bridgestone Golf, the #1 Ball-Fitter in Golf, has introduced the new 2024 TOUR B family of golf balls. Designed to deliver the ultimate combination of distance and greenside spin and control, the latest TOUR B golf balls feature the new REACTIV X System that takes Bridgestone’s Contact Science to a new level.  The 2024 TOUR B family comes in 4 distinct models, TOUR B X and TOUR B XS (for swings over 105 mph), and TOUR B RX and TOUR B RXS (for swings under 105 mph).

The newly developed REACTIV X System, which combines a REACTIV IQ cover with an EXCLRNT mid-layer, is the result of years of development and multiple iterations of REACTIV technology. In the initial version, REACTIV utilized impact modifiers in the urethane cover of each TOUR B model to create a cover that reacted to the impact velocity of every shot. On aggressive swings off the tee, the cover became firmer for faster ball speed and more distance, while on scoring shots with wedges and short irons it became softer for more spin and shot stopping control.

In the second iteration of REACTIV, called REACTIV IQ, the “smart,” cover of each ball in the TOUR B lineup was specifically tailored to optimize performance for the different players types of each of the four TOUR B models. Now, with the REACTIV X System, not only is the REACTIV IQ cover of each TOUR B model optimized and “smart,” due to the use of impact modifiers, but a denser XCLRNT mid-layer acts as a backboard at impact to create even more shot-stopping spin around the greens. The new XCLRNT layer in the REACTIV X system also contributes to a more efficient transfer of energy from the core at impact for increased ball speed and distance, as well as a slightly deeper sound at impact.

“Any time you have Tiger Woods contributing to a golf ball design you’ve got a major advantage over the competition,” said Elliot Mellow, golf ball marketing manager. “When you combine Bridgestone’s 900 polymer engineers and Contact Science with Tiger’s knowledge and feel, the results are impressive, and that’s what we have with the new TOUR B lineup. Tiger’s insights give our engineers feedback that allows them to push the design envelope beyond what we originally thought was possible.”

Tiger indeed played a significant role in helping develop the new TOUR B balls, paying particular attention to the TOUR B X, which he switched to from the XS model due to ongoing sessions with Bridgestone ball fitters. Though Tiger played a version of the XS model for close to 20 years, his desire for a bit more distance off the tee led him to make the permanent switch.

“I love working with Bridgestone’s engineers and fitters, and really enjoyed the R&D process of the latest TOUR B,” said Tiger Woods. “Since I now play the TOUR B X, I’m partial to that model, but all four new balls sound, feel, and play better than ever. Once you get fit for the right model, regardless of your skill level, you’ll know you have the best Tour ball made today.”

Bridgestone’s TOUR B lineup with the REACTIV X System doesn’t just offer optimized performance for faster (over 105 mph) swingers like Tiger, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, and Chris Gotterup, all of who are playing the new TOUR B X in 2024, but equally helps players with swings under 105 mph. For example, Fred Couples is gaming the new TOUR B RX in 2024, due to ongoing work with Bridgestone’s fitting team.

“We’re very fortunate to have a tremendous Tour Staff that is hands on with R&D and ball fitting,”comments Adam Rehberg, senior manager ball fitting and R&D. “They all take the fitting process very seriously and know this is a part of their job that will allow them to play better. The fun thing this time around was how open minded all of the staff players were throughout the R&D process. Both Tiger and Fred Couples are a great testament to the importance of checking and rechecking your golf ball fitting as variables in your game change.”

RRP: 64,80€ per dozen.

Bridgestone Golf – Jason Day completes comeback at AT&T Byron Nelson with the Bridgestone TOUR B X golf ball

May 16, 2023 – Bridgestone Golf staff player Jason Day captured his 13th PGA Tour victory on Sunday at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Day’s confidence in his Bridgestone TOUR B X golf ball led to a final round 62 and 23-under-par total that was marked by signature big drives, pinpoint iron play, and rock-solid putting.

“Innovation is the hallmark of Bridgestone Golf,” said Elliot Mellow, Bridgestone Marketing Manager. “Jason was in a position to play any ball he wanted when he signed with Bridgestone last year. He was looking for the best performance he could get, and after seeing what Tiger was doing with our golf ball, he decided to test it. As is the case with a lot of top players who test our TOUR B golf ball, he made the switch almost immediately.”

Day originally tested and played with Bridgestone’s TOUR B XS, which was designed with help from Tiger Woods and also played on Tour by the 15-time Major winner. While playing the XS, Day continued to work with Bridgestone ball fitters and eventually switched to the TOUR B X, based on slightly lower spin rates and longer driver distance.

“I was impressed with how much spin Tiger was getting around the green and I wanted to play the same ball,” commented Jason Day. “I loved the performance the XS gave me around the green, but after extensive testing with Bridgestone fitters we found the TOUR B X was a better all-around fit for my game. After experimenting with both models, I could see they were right and switched to the X – obviously the results speak for themselves.”

Day’s magnificent final round of nine-under-par 62, featured 9 birdies, no bogeys, and a whole lot of power and distance off the tee. After making four birdies on the front nine he proceeded to chip in on the 12th hole and went on to play an immaculate final six holes with four more birdies including one on the 72nd hole. His second win at the Byron Nelson and his first win on Tour since 2018 adds to his impressive haul of 13 career PGA Tour victories, which also include the PGA Championship, The Players Championship, The Arnold Palmer Championship, The Farmers Championship twice, The RBC Canadian Open, The Barclays, and others.

“This is obviously a huge win for Jason and we congratulate him,” said Dan Murphy, Bridgestone Golf President and CEO. “It reminds me of when Tiger won the ’18 Tour Championship after four years without a win. Jason wanted to play the same ball as Tiger in part so he could get the same results, and with this huge win, he got exactly that. We’re excited about Jason’s game right now and know he’s got his eye on bigger things.”

The 3-piece TOUR B X golf ball used by the Australian native features Bridgestone’s game-changing REACTIV iQ cover technology, which allows for maximum speed and distance on long shots and superior spin and control and short shots.

Bridgestone Golf – The impressive Bridgestone TOUR B golf balls with REACTIVE iQ technology

October 18, 2022 – In 2022 Bridgestone Golf has risen to another level with its new TOUR B golf ball series, featuring the most advanced evolution of Contact Science to date. Designed to deliver unparalleled distance and greenside control, the new TOUR B family of golf balls features the new REACTIV iQ cover technology, in four distinct models: TOUR B RX, TOUR B RXS, TOUR B X and TOUR B XS, with a RRP of 59.80€ per dozen.

The REACTIV iQ cover utilizes impact modifiers and builds on a technology under development for years, with input from Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau. It is a smart cover technology that reacts to the force of the impact for the needs of each club and shot, solving the trade-off of spin and distance. Off the tee it rebounds quickly with explosive velocity and increased distance. Around the green the ball stays on the face longer, producing more spin and soft feel. Optimizing the REACTIV iQ formula, the recipe has been maximized to deliver customized performance for all golf balls.

TOUR B X

The reinvented TOUR B X, with the new REACTIV iQ cover technology, means you don’t have to choose between more distance or more spin. With REACTIV iQ you get more distance and more spin in the same ball. It fits golfers with tour fast swing speeds of over 105mph, looking for a higher ball speed and maximum distance, while having ‘hit and sit’ performance on approach shots. Validated by Bryson DeChambeau, Matt Kuchar and Lexi Thompson.

TOUR B XS

The reinvented TOUR B XS, with the new REACTIV iQ cover technology, means you don’t have to choose between more distance or more spin. With REACTIV iQ you get more distance and more spin in the same ball. It fits golfers with tour fast swing speeds of over 105mph, looking for a soft feel and maximum greenside spin, while being able to stop approach and pitch shots on a dime. Designed and played by Tiger Woods.

TOUR B RX

The reinvented TOUR B RX, with the new REACTIV iQ cover technology, means that you don’t have to choose between more distance or more spin. With REACTIV iQ you get more distance and more spin in the same ball. It fits golfers with swing speeds under 105mph, looking for a higher ball speed for maximum distance, while still being able to ‘hit and sit’ on approach shots.

TOUR B RXS

The reinvented TOUR B RXS, with the new REACTIV iQ cover technology, means that you have to choose between more distance or more spin. With REACTIV iQ you get more distance and more spin in the same ball. It fits golfers with swing speeds under 105mph, looking for a softer feel and maximum greenside spin, while being able to stop approach and pitch shots on a dime. Validated by Fred Couples and Rocco Mediate.

TOUR B XS TIGER WOODS EDITION

A golf ball for true Tiger fans. Like the TOUR B XS model, with REACTIVE iQ technology, the new TW Edition is a result of the close working of Tiger with the Bridgestone’s R&D department, providing Tour performance with long distance and high levels of greenside spin.  It carries the ‘TIGER’ side stamp, which mimics the actual side stamp used by the 15-time Major champion. Appropriate for players and collectors.

Bridgestone Golf – Bryson DeChambeau secure first Major with Bridgestone’s Tour B X golf ball

September 22, 2020 – Bridgestone Golf’s long-hitting sensation, Bryson DeChambeau, pushed the game of golf to new levels, recording an average driver distance of 325 yds, the longest-ever for a US Open Champion, on the way to his first Major victory at the storied Winged Foot golf course.

As the only player to finish in red-figures, DeChambeau demonstrated jaw-dropping power, complemented by control and feel, with the Bridgestone Tour B X golf ball rising to meet the demands of golf’s newest phenom. The come-from-behind win marks the 8th victory of the young star’s career and his first Major Championship.

Using Bridgestone Golf’s TOUR B X with REACTIV cover technology, DeChambeau carded the only under-par final round of the tournament, besting Winged Foot with incredible distance, matched only by his balanced touch around the greens as he navigated the deep rough and lightning-quick surfaces that were exceptionally difficult and forecasted to produce a winning score of “plus-8” at the beginning of the week by the hosting Director of Golf Courses.

“Watching Bryson win the first Major of his career is exhilarating, it’s a new game,” said Dan Murphy, President & CEO of Bridgestone Golf. “We have a front row seat to how hard Bryson works, and we know how badly he wants to win. Our investment in R&D, testing and, ultimately, unmatched performance is what it takes to guarantee the kind of ball that Bryson demands. Bryson hoisted the US Open Trophy on Sunday, but this major championship was won in the weeks, months and years leading up to this moment. We’re incredibly happy for Bryson and look forward to many more victories together.”

The TOUR B golf ball series is a result of Bridgestone’s continued commitment to providing premium tee-to-green performance to players of varying swing types. Bridgestone owns over 800 golf ball patents and fully leverages the company’s heritage of excellence in polymer science worldwide to design the industry’s most cutting-edge golf balls.
