January 19, 2012 – Santa Clara Golf Marbella is becoming one of the best golf courses in the Costa del Sol. Designed by Enrique Canales Busquets, the golf course was created with the highest respect for the environment, presenting a technical but very pleasant challenge, with long fairways and roomy greens.

Following this sustainable initiative, the course has recently purchased 60 electric golf cars from Club Car for their players.

Ignacio Apolinario Zárate, Managing Director of Santa Clara Golf Marbella, explains his reasons for investing in a new fleet: “We selected Club Car for our new fleet because their cars are quality vehicles that are at the forefront in the use of technology. I was pleasantly surprised by the engine braking operation, and also by its comfort and performance.”

“We also evaluated the energy savings in terms of load times of the batteries, and we are very impressed with the progress in battery life.”

“The degree of satisfaction is also very high for users. Customers and employees were pleasantly surprised by the performance and quality of the new Club Car. One of the things that struck us is the radius of rotation of the vehicle, higher than our previous cars.”

The Managing Director of Santa Clara added: “It must be said that our investment in the Club Car vehicles is very important. With this new contract we have reduced by more than 25% the cost of the fleet, and that without the energy savings produced in the battery charge.”
