La Cala Resort – Stay at the heart of the action as La Cala Resort hosts LET 2026 season finale

20 Agosto 2026 – Golf fans will have the rare opportunity to stay at the very resort hosting the Ladies European Tour‘s season finale this November, playing the courses by day and watching the professionals compete on those same fairways, all without leaving the grounds, as La Cala Resort prepares to host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, taking place from 26–29 November 2026.

Set among the hills of Mijas and spanning 400 hectares, La Cala is one of Europe’s largest golf resorts, providing the ideal base for visitors looking to combine world-class tournament golf with a winter escape in southern Spain.

The season finale will bring together the leading names on the Ladies European Tour for the final tournament of the year, providing a fitting climax to the 2026 campaign, with La Cala’s guests, uniquely, watching it unfold from inside the venue itself.

With accommodation on sale now, and daily entry to the tournament included for every guest, a perk rarely offered even by resorts that host professional events, La Cala is offering golf fans the chance to turn tournament week into a golf break unlike any other on the Costa del Sol.

It is a proposition rarely found in European golf. Few resorts stage a professional tour event on their own courses while also housing spectators within walking distance of the action, and fewer still include entry to the tournament during the length of their stay. At La Cala, both are true: visitors can play a round in the morning, then step from the clubhouse to the gallery ropes to watch some of the best players in the women’s game compete for the season’s biggest title that same afternoon.

Rather than travelling in for the day, guests staying at La Cala will be immersed in the atmosphere from the moment they arrive, with the hotel, golf courses, restaurants and clubhouse all forming part of the championship environment throughout the week.

Away from the fairways, guests can unwind in the resort’s spa, restaurants and bars, while the traditional streets and shops of Mijas, and the beaches and nightlife of the wider Costa del Sol, are all within easy reach for those extending their stay.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager at La Cala Resort, said: “Tournament week will be a special occasion for La Cala, and we want our guests to feel part of it.

“Very few resorts in Europe can offer this: to stay where some of the players are staying, to play golf in the morning, and then walk out and watch some of the best players in the women’s game compete in the season’s final event that same afternoon.

“Every guest staying with us during tournament week will also receive entry to the championship each day, so there is nothing standing between checking in and being inside the ropes.

“With everything available on site, together with everything the Costa del Sol has to offer nearby, we think it has all the ingredients for a very special golf break.”

For those unable to visit during tournament week, La Cala Resort also offers a range of golf and leisure breaks throughout the year, with 2026 offers available now at lacala.com, while early 2027 opens up further opportunities to combine golf with the resort’s spa, wellness and leisure facilities.

La Cala Resort – Opened a new Golf Hub designed for every type of visitor of the resort

July 1, 2026 – La Cala Resort, ranked among Europe’s leading golf destinations and named Spain’s Best Golf Hotel 2025, has strengthened its offering with the opening of a newly redesigned Golf Hub: a modern practice, learning and social space created for golfers of all levels, as well as families, beginners and resort guests looking to enjoy the game in their own way.

Located at the heart of the resort’s golf facilities, the new Golf Hub brings together La Cala’s 9-hole Par 3 Short Course, driving range, golf academy, swing and video analysis, golf shop, and a fully equipped club workshop offering custom fitting services. At its centre sits the new Vista Café, a relaxed indoor and terrace space with a Starbucks coffee corner, light dining and far-reaching views towards the Mediterranean, designed to be a destination in its own right for golfers, companions and local residents alike.

The concept has been designed to make golf more accessible and more enjoyable for every type of visitor. Experienced players can practise, book a lesson or arrange a custom fitting session, while those newer to the game can take their first steps through the Short Course or group coaching. The Golf Hub is also open to local residents, giving the facility a year-round community dimension beyond the resort itself.

The opening further enhances La Cala’s already extensive golf offering, which includes three 18-hole championship courses, Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa, alongside its short course and full practice and academy facilities.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort, said: “The Golf Hub is an important addition to the La Cala experience because it reflects how people want to enjoy golf today. Of course, many of our guests come here to play our championship courses, but others want to practise, take a lesson, introduce their children to the game or simply spend an hour in a relaxed golf environment.

“We wanted to create a space that feels open, social and useful, whether you are a committed golfer, a beginner, a local resident or part of a family group. It brings together coaching, practice, fitting, short-course golf and hospitality in one place, and gives guests another reason to spend time at the resort.”

The Golf Hub opening comes as La Cala Resort prepares for a busy summer season, with a programme designed to add further choice around golf, relaxation and resort life. Guests staying at the resort can enjoy the recently renovated hotel, outdoor pool, spa and wellbeing facilities, dining, racquet sports, live music and open-air summer events, all within the same destination.

Summer camps and children’s activities add further flexibility for families travelling during the school holidays, while couples and groups of friends can combine golf with dining, spa treatments, evening entertainment and time by the pool.

The resort is also offering a complimentary room upgrade for guests booking stays throughout July, subject to availability, providing an added level of comfort during the summer period.

Sean Corte-Real added: “Summer at La Cala is about choice. Some guests want golf every day, others want the pool, spa, dining, music and open-air Mediterranean living. The strength of the resort is that everyone can enjoy the holiday in their own way, while still sharing the same destination.”

Set between the Sierra de Mijas and the Mediterranean, La Cala Resort continues to invest in facilities that support its reputation as a leading Costa del Sol destination for golf, leisure and lifestyle travel.

La Cala Resort – New tunnel, improved roads, expanded parking and Hole 64 mark the latest phase of upgrades

June 15, 2026 – La Cala Resort has completed the latest phase of its guest experience improvements, with the opening of a new access tunnel, new road infrastructure, additional parking spaces and Hole 64.

Set in the hills above the Costa del Sol and home to 63 holes of golf, La Cala has opened the new facilities as part of a continued programme of improvements designed to make each visit smoother, easier and more enjoyable.

The latest phase forms part of a €5m infrastructure project covering new parking, roads and the tunnel, following the recent completion of significant hotel upgrades across the resort. The openings were marked at a formal event attended by guests, media, local government representatives and invited dignitaries.

The new tunnel, road infrastructure and parking improvements have been created to improve access and connectivity between key areas of La Cala, helping guests and golfers move around the resort more safely and efficiently. The works include a new ring road, two roundabouts and a 50-metre tunnel linking the América and Europa courses, while the car park has been expanded from 173 to 333 spaces, with a new lift providing direct access to both floors of the Golf Clubhouse and The Golf Shop.

Additional buggy paths have also been added across the Asia Course, further improving movement around one of Southern Europe’s most complete golf resorts.

Hole 64 adds a new rest and refreshment space on the Asia Course, with a terrace, grab-and-go service and 24-hour vending. Designed as a relaxed place to pause during the day, it gives golfers and guests another convenient way to enjoy the resort before, during or after a round.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager at La Cala Resort, said: “La Cala has always been known for the breadth of its golf and resort offering, but our focus is on how that experience feels for every guest.

“These improvements are about making the day flow better — from the moment guests arrive, to the way they move between courses, enjoy the clubhouse areas and spend time with us beyond the golf course.

“The completion of this latest phase, including the new tunnel, road infrastructure, additional parking and Hole 64, is another important step in our long-term investment programme and reflects our commitment to improving the resort while preserving the character and atmosphere that make La Cala so special.”

The improvements come during a period of growing recognition for La Cala, which was recently ranked 56th in Golf World’s new Top 100 Luxe Resorts in Europe.

The ranking celebrates golf destinations that combine excellent golf with premium accommodation, dining, amenities and overall resort experience. In its review, Golf World praised La Cala’s newly refurbished hotel as “superb”, described the spa as “one of the best around”.

For La Cala, the recognition reflects the impact of continued investment and its growing reputation as a destination that offers far more than a traditional golf break.

With three 18-hole courses, a 9-hole Short Course Par 3, hotel, spa, restaurants, real estate, holiday rentals and extensive leisure facilities, La Cala is designed for golfers, couples, families, homeowners and holidaymakers looking for a complete Mediterranean resort experience.

The resort is also preparing for one of the most important weeks in its recent history, when it hosts the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho from 26 to 29 November.

The tournament is the final event of the Ladies European Tour season, with the top 75 qualified players set to compete on Campo Europa as the European women’s professional golf season reaches its conclusion. For guests, it will offer a rare opportunity to watch many of the continent’s leading players compete at a resort they can also experience for themselves.

Corte-Real added: “Recognition from Golf World, combined with the forthcoming Ladies European Tour season finale, shows the momentum building around La Cala. Our responsibility now is to keep improving, keep investing and ensure every part of the resort experience reflects the standard our guests expect.

“La Cala continues to grow, but always with the same aim — to take care of the details that make every visit feel special.”

La Cala Resort – Bronze Flag at the 2026 59club Service Excellence Awards

March 10, 2026 – La Cala Resort has been awarded a Bronze Flag at the 2026 59club Service Excellence Awards, an independent recognition of sustained operational standards across the full guest experience. The accolade is the result of one of the most rigorous independent evaluation processes in European golf and hospitality.

The awards, organised by 59club and held at the Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, are based on structured mystery-shopping audits rather than peer nominations or public ballots.

Properties are assessed against fixed criteria at every stage of the guest journey, from first enquiry through to post-visit follow-up communication. The process is designed to measure what is actually delivered, not what is claimed, and offers no opportunity for advance preparation or selective presentation.

La Cala’s Bronze Flag confirms consistently high standards across multiple guest touchpoints, a meaningful distinction in a process that applies uniform criteria to a wide pool of European resorts.

Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort, said: “The credibility of 59club’s process lies in its objectivity. It examines the reality of the guest experience rather than taking it on trust. Being nominated and receiving a Bronze Flag is a meaningful endorsement of the work our team puts in every day. What this evaluation measures – consistency, attention to detail, professionalism under real conditions –  is exactly what we ask of ourselves.”

Located in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas on the Costa del Sol, La Cala Resort features three championship golf courses and a recently refurbished 107-room hotel with spa and dining. The resort has long held that infrastructure sets the stage – but service is what defines the guest experience.

In a Mediterranean market where physical offerings between venues are increasingly similar, independently verified service standards carry real commercial weight – shaping repeat visits, reputation and long-term performance.

The Bronze Flag establishes a benchmark, confirmed under independent scrutiny, against which La Cala Resort will continue to measure its service standards.

La Cala Resort – Expanded golf offering with new 9-Hole La Cala Short Course

July 3, 2025 – La Cala Resort has announced the forthcoming opening of its fourth golf course, the all-new La Cala Short Course, a purpose-built 9-hole Par three layout set to open on Friday 4th July 2025.

Located adjacent to the resort’s Golf Academy and driving range, this new course has been carefully designed to meet the growing demand for faster, more flexible play formats, while retaining the quality, scenic beauty, and strategic interest for which La Cala is renowned.

The La Cala Short Course replaces the resort’s previous 6-hole loop and has been entirely reimagined to offer a complete short-game experience in a picturesque, time-efficient format. The layout features elevated tees, sweeping views of the Mediterranean, and natural integration with the rolling Mijas landscape. It is set to appeal to families, juniors, beginners and experienced players seeking a quick but rewarding round.

“Our vision has been to create a course that’s accessible, fun, and designed to reflect how people are engaging with golf today,” said Sean Corte-Real, La Cala Resort General Manager. “Guests are increasingly looking for ways to enjoy the game in shorter time frames, and this new course allows them to do that, without compromising enjoyment or quality.”

Designed with variety and playability in mind, the new course offers a diverse set of holes that challenge creativity and shot-making. It is equally suitable for newcomers learning the game, juniors developing their skills, or advanced players refining their wedge play and short-game precision.

The opening of the Short Course reflects a broader movement in the golf industry, with leading resorts across Europe and North America responding to player demand for more accessible and varied playing options. At La Cala, the new course complements a trio of championship 18-hole layouts, Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa, each offering a distinct test of golf across some of the most dramatic terrain in southern Spain. The Short Course is also the first phase of an ambitious upgrade programme at the Academy, which will be transformed into a dedicated “Golf Hub”, with phase two set for completion in 2026.

The Short Course will also serve as a valuable extension to La Cala’s teaching and practice facilities. Its close proximity to the Golf Academy and driving range makes it ideal for on-course coaching, warm-up sessions, and short-game-focused clinics.

Guests visiting La Cala will also enjoy access to the resort’s 4-star hotel, full-service spa, fitness centre and several dining venues, all set within the heart of the Costa del Sol. The resort has once again been nominated as Spain’s Best Golf Hotel in the 2025 World Golf Awards, reinforcing its reputation for delivering a complete and exceptional golf holiday experience.

“We believe golf should be inclusive, adaptable, and most of all, enjoyable,” added Sean Corte-Real. “This new course embodies those values and gives us a unique opportunity to introduce more people to the game, support skill development, and provide an unforgettable experience, whether it’s your first round or your hundredth.”

The La Cala Short Course officially opens on July 4, 2025. For players seeking a modern, memorable way to enjoy golf on the Costa del Sol, it promises a welcome new experience.

La Cala Resort – New Website and Expanded Lifestyle Offering on the Costa del Sol

May 27, 2025 – Just a short flight from Europe’s major cities and a mere 30-minute drive from Málaga Airport, La Cala Resort continues to set the benchmark for luxury golf and leisure living on Spain’s sun-drenched Costa del Sol. Nestled between the cultural richness of Málaga and the elegance of Marbella, the resort, proudly owned by FBD Hotels & Resorts, offers an irresistible blend of championship golf, Andalusian charm and a flourishing residential community drawn to its lifestyle appeal.

Now, La Cala is embarking on an ambitious expansion of its residential, leisure and digital offerings, affirming its status as a leading destination for refined Mediterranean living.

At the centre of this new phase of growth is the launch of a reimagined website, an elegant digital gateway that reflects the evolving identity of the resort. Now live at www.lacala.com, the platform offers seamless and intuitive access to La Cala’s full range of amenities. For the first time, guests can manage every aspect of their stay online, from reserving rooms and tee times to booking spa treatments, dining experiences, and exploring property listings and upcoming events, all through a streamlined and user-friendly interface.

“This new platform goes beyond convenience; it’s a window into the La Cala lifestyle,” said General Manager Sean Corte-Real. “Whether you’re planning a golf getaway, a wellness retreat, or looking to find your ideal home on the Costa del Sol, the experience now starts with a few effortless clicks.”

Through the new website, guests can now book hotel rooms and curated stay packages, secure tee times on the resort’s three championship courses, or fine-tune their game with sessions at the driving range or state-of-the-art golf simulator. The spa’s complete offering, ranging from hydrotherapy and signature massages to personalised wellness treatments, is also available for booking, allowing visitors to shape their perfect wellness escape before they arrive.

La Cala’s diverse dining venues can now be reserved online, giving guests easy access to tables across the resort’s culinary offerings, from Mediterranean courtyards to clubhouse grills. Sporting enthusiasts can use the new platform to book court time for padel and tennis. At the same time, fitness fans can explore on-site facilities and outdoor activities via the new digital hub.

Notably, the website also introduces a brand-new holiday rentals service, allowing guests to book stays in the resort’s expanding portfolio of modern apartments, providing a home-from-home experience within the La Cala community. This adds a new dimension to the resort’s residential offering, bridging the gap between leisure travel and long-term living.

“We’re seeing strong demand for more flexible accommodation,” added Sean Corte-Real. “The new holiday rentals service brings the best of both worlds, the space and privacy of a modern apartment, combined with access to resort facilities and the unique lifestyle that La Cala offers.”

In addition to property listings, the site allows visitors to explore the latest additions to La Cala’s real estate portfolio, including new homes within the Solana Village and The Meadows developments. Those interested in purchasing can browse available units, register interest, or arrange viewings online.

Finally, an integrated events section enables users to discover and book cultural, culinary, and sporting events taking place across the resort, offering a real-time window into La Cala’s vibrant social calendar.

Whether drawn by sport, wellness, food, or the lifestyle of its growing residential community, La Cala Resort continues to lead with quiet confidence. As the resort looks to the future, it remains clear that innovation and ease will shape the next chapter of Mediterranean living.

La Cala Resort – Full room and restaurant renovations, plus a new golf simulator, exciting updates for the new season

March 11, 2025 – Just a short flight from Europe’s major cities and only 30 minutes from Málaga Airport, La Cala Resort is the ultimate golf and lifestyle destination on the Costa del Sol. Nestled between the vibrant city of Málaga and the glamour of Marbella, the resort, owned by FBD Hotels & Resorts, recently unveiled an exciting series of renovations, further enhancing its world-class facilities.

Having celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, La Cala’s commitment to excellence was recognised when it was crowned Spain’s ‘Golf Resort of the Year 2024’ at the prestigious IAGTO Awards, reaffirming its status as a must-visit destination for golfers and leisure seekers alike.

The resort undertook an extensive renovation project over the winter, transforming half of its 107 rooms with a modern and stylish redesign. Guests will now enjoy more spacious rooms equipped with modern furnishings, brand-new cupboards, and a décor that reflects the essence of Andalusian heritage. Each room features balconies or terraces, air conditioning, twin or double beds, and easy-access USB sockets for charging devices. Golfers will particularly appreciate the golf bag racks in the newly designed walk-in closets.

“We’re delighted to announce that the first part of our room renovations is complete, and we are now ready to welcome guests to experience both the comfort of our updated rooms and the fantastic facilities we offer,” said Sean Corte-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort.

“With everything in place, it’s the perfect time to escape to the Costa del Sol, where guests can enjoy our three championship golf courses, which have been extensively improved over the last five years.”

La Cala Resort has also introduced a cutting-edge golf simulator featuring the latest sensor technology for unparalleled precision. Guests can now play a few holes in the Sports Lounge, located in the Clubhouse, and experience the thrill of playing at famous courses like Pebble Beach or preparing for their next day’s game on the La Cala courses. This new addition offers an immersive golfing experience similar to the one enjoyed by players like Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy at the TGL.

In addition to its new rooms and golf experiences, La Cala Resort continues to deliver exceptional dining options. The newly renovated La Terraza restaurant now features a large terrace area offering stunning views of the pool, a private dining area and a new buffet section for breakfast. La Terraza will serve a new Tapas & Mediterranean inspired menu to guests in the evening.

A second addition to the dining lineup is the new Steakhouse restaurant, which has been crafted for salad and steak lovers alike. While its main feature will be steaks cooked on charcoal, the menu will also feature a selection of succulent salads based on seasonal ingredients. All this is accompanied by carefully selected beers, IPAs, and vermouths that are perfect for every taste.

La Cala Resort is more than just a golfing destination, it’s a thriving community where residents and guests can experience a lifestyle that blends luxury living with the natural beauty of the Costa del Sol. From world-class golfing to exceptional dining and stunning accommodations, La Cala Resort remains one of the world’s premier destinations where golf, nature, and luxury come together seamlessly.

La Cala Resort – Proud to achieve GEO-Certification following a great raft of Sustainability initiatives

August 8, 2024 – Located just 30 minutes from Malaga airport and the popular destinations of Malaga and Marbella, La Cala Resort, which celebrates its 35th Anniversary this year, remains committed to providing an exceptional golf and lifestyle experience on the Costa del Sol. Owned by FBD Hotels & Resorts, La Cala Resort continues to invest in world-class facilities, something recognised at the recent IAGTO awards when it was crowned Spain’s ‘Golf Resort of the Year 2024’.

The resort offers guests a unique lifestyle experience with a diverse range of facilities from a luxurious spa to locally inspired restaurants and bars, including the recently revamped La Bodega, and three exciting, yet contrasting, championship golf courses. La Cala Resort’s diverse leisure offering includes padel, tennis and squash on the racquet sport side plus a golf academy with unrivalled views across the Mediterranean, a fitness studio, gym and FIFA-standard football pitch.

La Cala Resort has placed real emphasis on sustainability for 35 years now, with sustainable practices at the very heart of everything it does. With the support of its owners and continued investment, La Cala Resort has been awarded GEO certification in recognition of its environmental and social responsibility. The GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf is an international not-for-profit organisation founded 16 years ago to help inspire, support, and reward credible sustainability action and to strengthen and promote golf’s social and environmental value.

The Sustainability Agenda for golf focuses on nature, resources and community.  Ahead of its time in many ways, La Cala Resort made pioneering strides in 1991 by introducing a regenerated water irrigation system on its golf courses via a dedicated pipeline, funded mainly by the FBD Group, that stretches 10km from the resort’s primary lake to the Fuengirola recycling plant. The benefits are preservation of precious freshwater resources and enhanced long-term water security.

The resort is also nearing the end of a five-year project to enhance water efficiency in its irrigation practices by moving from bent grass greens to Bermuda. Campo America will be the last course to complete the process this autumn, with Campo Asia making the switch in 2019 and Campo Europa in 2020. Replacing the tee grass with Bermuda Tahoma 31 has contributed to more water savings, estimated at 20%. The benefits of this strategic shift are three-fold: first, more water-efficient grass species aid water conservation; second, reduced water consumption means significant cost savings; and third, the improved playability of the courses enhances the overall golfer experience.

Away from the course, La Cala Resort’s sustainability journey expanded in 2022 with the installation of solar panels on the roofs of its maintenance facilities. These now generate an impressive 160Kw of clean energy per hour, which benefits the popular clubhouse area. Encouraged by the initial success, La Cala Resort has extended its solar panel installation efforts to include administration offices, with future plans including the further expansion of panels to cover parking spaces plus the implementation of energy-efficient LED lighting in hotel rooms and clubhouse areas. These projects have helped to reduce the resort’s carbon footprint and reliance on grid electricity while ensuring a sustainable future for energy consumption and reducing costs.

La Cala Resort has already moved from petrol to electric via a Jacobsen Eclipse 360 Elite green mower and Smithco Sand Star E bunker rake, while two robot mowers from Belrobotics are on order, along with a driving range ball picker, in the quest to reduce carbon emissions and switch further daily operations over to a more sustainable power source. Reducing turf areas by up to 20% and replacing them with mulch has brought water usage down by a similar figure.

“We are committed to social and environmental responsibility, in and through golf,” says Sean Corte-Real, La Cala’s General Manager. “We recognise the importance of playing our part to protect and restore nature, conserve resources, take climate action and strengthen communities. Through becoming GEO-certified, we have achieved the most widely regarded and credible sustainability distinction in golf. The international certification was earned after successfully meeting the industry-standard best practices and demonstrating our commitment to make sustainability of central importance to our golf facility.”

In his report, Pablo Muñoz, GEO-accredited independent verifier, noted: “The resort emphasises its role in conservation by using 100% reclaimed water for irrigating its three golf courses since 2017, and by reducing water consumption further by transitioning from cool-season to warm-season grasses. Moreover, La Cala Resort is committed to sustainable practices by installing solar panels on the roofs of the maintenance facility. The resort has also upgraded its former all-petrol engine buggy fleet to lithium-powered carts, demonstrating its commitment to environmental stewardship. Through these measures, La Cala continues to pave the way for a more sustainable future, integrating Costa del Sol’s culture, while maintaining a high standard of service under the motto ‘Make it Yes’, ensuring all client needs are met.”

La Cala Resort is a thriving community where residents and guests share a vibrant lifestyle in which quality living blends seamlessly with the natural beauty of the surroundings. These elements, twinned with exceptional cuisine and an enviable climate, make La Cala one of the world’s leading resorts where golf and nature come together.

Las Colinas Golf – Jimenez’s design of the stunning Short Game Facility, unveiled to the world

October 6, 2017 – Golfing legend and 21-time European Tour winner Miguel Ángel Jiménez took time out from his busy schedule this week to officially unveil the stunning ’Las Colinas Short Game Facility designed by Miguel Ángel Jiménez’.

The world-class conditioned Short Game Facility, which is spread across 5,000 sq. metres at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, in Alicante (Spain), was declared officially open by its designer after months of close collaboration with the Las Colinas management team. At the picture, Jiménez with Cristóbal Guerrero, Managing Director of Las Colinas Golf & Country Club.

Boasting spacious Bermuda grass playing areas and an immaculate 680 sq. meter green with lush Bent grass, the Las Colinas Short Game Facility designed by Miguel Ángel Jiménez will now be open to visiting golfers and Pro Groups looking to fine tune their game whilst staying at the resort.

“I’m incredibly proud to open the Las Colinas Short Game Facility and have been extremely impressed with the pristine conditioning of the whole area,” said Miguel Angel Jiménez. “It’s been really exciting watching how the project has developed since we started work earlier this year and I now look forward to seeing golfers from all around the world enjoying a world-class facility.

“It was crucial the facility offered the very best in standards because I know from visiting Las Colinas that the whole resort demands that level of quality,” added Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who spoke at a press conference staged at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club. “I’d like to congratulate everyone at Las Colinas who has worked so hard to get to where we are today.”

The Las Colinas Short Game Facility designed by Miguel Ángel Jiménez also incorporates two large practice bunkers and allows golfers to practice their full short game repertoire over a 75-yard distance. Positioned just over 100 metres from the range at Las Colinas, the Troon-conditioned facility is perfectly located for those looking to improve their short game.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to open this fantastic facility on what is a really special day in the history of Las Colinas Golf & Country Club,” said the resort’s Director of Golf & Operations, Sean Corte-Real. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Miguel on this project and we’re delighted with the final product. The conditioning of the facility is in keeping with the ‘World Apart’ experience we aim to deliver – on and off course – to every person visiting Las Colinas.”

Regarded as one of the best modern golf courses in Europe, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club’s Par 71 18-hole layout has built a world-class reputation for its year-round Championship-ready conditioning. Designed for players of all levels by renowned architect Cabell B. Robinson, the golf course blends naturally into the surrounding landscape, running through valleys between the hills to deliver a truly captivating and unforgettable experience for golfers of all abilities.
