Nikon – Becoming official rangefinder of the LPGA and Ladies European Tour

April 24, 2024 – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Ladies European Tour (LET) have announced a new multi-year partnership with Nikon Inc., a leader in imaging products, optics, precision equipment and instruments.

Nikon’s COOLSHOT Rangefinders will become the Official Rangefinders of both Tours, offering precision optical devices designed to deliver unparalleled accuracy in distance measurement. Rangefinders were first allowed in LPGA Tour competition at the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, with athletes now permitted to use rangefinder technology at most LPGA Tour and LET events. The Epson Tour and LET Access Series have permitted usage of rangefinders in competition since 2020.

ECCO Golf – Ambassador Lydia Ko wins LPGA Tour finales to secure Race to CME Globe title

November 22, 2022 – Wearing her signature ECCO BIOM G5 shoes, ECCO Golf ambassador Lydia Ko secured her 19th career victory on Sunday at the LPGA Tour’s final event of the season, the CME Group Tour Championship 2022.

Ko has enjoyed a special year in 2022, securing multiple victories in a season for the first time in six years. Going into this week, Ko was sitting pretty at the top of both the Race to CME Globe rankings and the LPGA’s coveted Rolex Player of the Year award, knowing that a strong finish to the season could secure several accolades.

This week, Ko, who has been competing in ECCO Golf shoes since 2017, delivered a clinical performance at Tiburon Golf Club, Florida, finishing on 17-under-par to triumph by two clear shots.

Ko’s victory this week means that the ECCO Golf ambassador not only takes home the LPGA’s biggest-ever winner’s cheque, but also secures the Race to the CME Globe, the Rolex Player of the Year award, the LPGA money list title, and the Vare Trophy, awarded to the player with the lowest average score across the entire season.

I wanted to play the best golf I could today and there was so many big names chasing. I knew it would be a tough battle, especially with how tough the conditions were.”

ECCO Golf – Nanna Koerstz Madsen becomes first danish LPGA Tour winner at Honda LPGA Thailand

March 14, 2022 – ECCO Golf ambassador, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, has made history this weekend after becoming the first Dane to win on the Ladies PGA Tour following her playoff victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Koerstz Madsen enjoyed a strong year in 2021, and had been searching for a breakthrough victory on the LPGA tour in 2022.

The two time Olympian started the day on 21-under-par, after carding three fantastic rounds of 65, 64, and 66, to give her a one shot lead going into Sunday’s final round. She then shot a steely 67 on Sunday in Thailand, to book her place in a playoff and a chance to secure her first LPGA Tour title.

Wearing ECCO S-Three, Koerstz Madsen triumphed on the second playoff hole at Siam Country Club, draining a 15-foot eagle putt to secure the title.

“It’s amazing, it’s a dream come true. It was a really crazy day, a lot of good things, and it was actually fun playing in a playoff at the end. I’m really just excited to be standing with the trophy right now,” commented Nanna Koerstz Madsen.

ECCO Golf – Lydia Ko claims 17th LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA

January 31, 2022 – ECCO Golf ambassador, Lydia Ko, kicked off her 2022 season in style, going wire-to-wire with a nail-biting one-shot victory at the Gainbridge LPGA.

Ko, who in 2021 returned to the winner’s circle at the LOTTE Championship, was in good form at the start of 2022 following a strong T10 finish at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

This week, wearing ECCO BIOM G3, Ko enjoyed four brilliant rounds of golf at what was a tough test in Boca Rio Golf Club, Florida. She kicked off her tournament with a blistering nine-under-par 63 on Thursday, and led the field from then on. A battling 72 on Saturday then set her up for a calm and collected three-under-par 69 on Sunday to win by one shot.

“I feel like it’s been much more consistent. Last year, even though I didn’t win on the LPGA at the end of the year, I put myself in contention quite a bit and I think when you keep knocking on the door you feel like at one point it’s going to open,” said Lydia Ko. “I tried to stay really patient out there and not get carried away on what everybody else was doing and just focus on my game, trying to make the lowest score I could,” she added.

Honma Golf – ShanShan Feng wins the Thornbery Creek LPGA Classic with a birdie on the 18th hole

July 9, 2019 – Honma Golf has congratulated its staff Chinese golfer Shashan Feng for returning to the circle of victory on the LPGA Tour, claiming the title of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, in Oneida, Wisconsin (U.S.).

With a Honma Golf bag, including the Tour World TW driver, 3 fairway woods, utilities and irons from the luxurious Japanese brand, the 29-year-old shot three birdies in a four-hole stretch which took her from three shots behind to one shot ahead on Sunday. Although it was only after she hit a 7-iron to 3 feet off the final hole that she saw the leaderboard and realized she was tied with the Thai player Ariya Jutanugarn.

“Oh, no, I have to make that one,” Shanshan Feng said to herself, and without problems, with a birdie putt, ended the tournament with a 63 (-9) and a one-shot victory over Jutanugarn.

The first member of the LPGA Tour from China, Shanshan Feng turned pro in 2007/2008 and now has 10 LPGA Tour victories, including a Major, the Wegmans LPGA Championship 2012, as well as the bronze medal in the 2016 Olympic Games of Rio. She has also been the first representative of China, male or female, to achieve the No.1 place in the World Golf Official Rankings, which she held during 23 weeks.

With this victory Feng has won a prize of $ 300,000, which amounts to $ 583,938 this season, for a total of $ 11,058,149 in her golf career. Pictures: LPGA.

Honma Golf – So Yeon Ryu makes her Tour World golf clubs shine to win the Meijer LPGA Classic

June 19, 2018 – The Honma Golf staff player So Yeon Ryu has once again given the Japanese premium golf equipment brand a new title on the LPGA Tour, after winning the Meijer LPGA Classic last Sunday with a final round of 67 and a total of 267 strokes, two less than the second classified, Caroline Masson.

In the curriculum of the South Korean player, who will turn 28 years old on the 29th of June and became professional in 2008, it is worth highlighting her extraordinary victory at the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open when she was not yet a member of the LPGA Tour. She didn’t become an LPGA rookie until 2012. The curious thing is that she took her latest victory last year in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship – with which she climbed to No.1 World Ranking – which is precisely the title she has to defend in this week’s event.

The South Korean golfer started the fourth round of the Meijer LPGA Classic two shots behind Anna Nordqvist and Lee-Anne Pace, but took control of the event with a bogey-free card and playing the last seven holes at 2 under par, to keep ahead of the sprint of Lydia Ko and Jacqui Concolino, both tied third, while the Spanish Azahara Muñoz finishing in a good fourth place.

To the merit of So Yeon Ryu with the Honma Tour World golf clubs, it is worth highlighting her Drive Distance average of 276.5y with her TW Proto 460 driver from the tee, and her 14 Greens in Regulation in the last round with her TW737V irons and TW-W wedges; and of course congratulations to the player herself, who knew how to keep calm under a lot of pressure, while the others suffered from nerves.

This is the sixth victory in her professional career, and the first of 2018, although she has made the cut in all her 12 events played this season, including this win and two Top-10 finishes. With this success she earns 500 points that catapult her from No. 29 to No. 8 in the Race to CME Globe ranking, with 1,144 points.

Lynx Golf – Staffer Dame Laura Davies, congratulated after Founders Cup success

March 22, 2018 – Just weeks after relaunching in the USA, Lynx Golf came within a whisker of gaining a first LPGA Tour victory as its ambassador Dame Laura Davies finished second in the LPGA Founders Cup at the Wildfire Golf Club, Phoenix, Arizona, on last Sunday.

The four-time Major winner, World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, first non-American to top the LPGA money list and seven-time winner of the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit finished in a share of second place, behind winner Inbee Park.

Honma Golf – Shanshan Feng wins TOTO Japan Classic with the TW727 golf clubs

November 7, 2017 – For the first time this season a member of the LPGA Tour has defended her title. After a 4-under-par 68, the Honma Golf player Shanshan Feng captured her second straight TOTO Japan Classic.

“That was my goal, before I started the week, to defend my title. My caddie told me: ‘This week, you’re going to be first. Two weeks ago, you finished third. Last week, you finished second, so you know what comes after that… first.’ I was like, OK, let’s go for it,” said Shanshan Feng. “Here I am, and I’m really happy.”

Feng had a rough start Sunday, bogeying two of her first three holes. But, she settled into a groove and was 4-under par through her final 11 holes.

It turned into a match-play situation with Japan’s own Ai Suzuki, who as 5-under through her final 10 holes, before making a bogey on the final hole of the tournament.

“Her ball striking is so good. She left herself so many birdie chances and I was freaked out,” Shanshan Feng said of Suzuki with a laugh.

“Before I started the round, I told myself to not look at the other scores and just go to 21-under par. I played very well. I’m very honoured and happy to play well in Asia, as an Asian.”

Feng also won the 2016 TOTO Japan Classic, for her sixth LPGA Tour win. The 2017 TOTO Japan Classic victory marks her second win of the season, as she won the LPGA Volvik Championship by one shot in May. “In my heart, I was trying to win this week. And I’ve done it,” she said.

Feng also played on the JLPGA Tour where she won six times, and had robust fan support all week long at the Minori Course’s Taiheyo Club.

Mizuno Golf – Houston resident Stacy Lewis lands emotional victory playing JPX900 Tour irons

September 4, 2017 – Mizuno, the Japanese equipment manufacturer long renowned for its beautiful, industry-leading forged irons is celebrating yet more success in 2017 following an emotional win for staff player and Houston resident, Stacy Lewis, in the LPGA’s Cambia Portland Classic. It’s been even harder watching what my home town is going through. My home and family have been extremely lucky, but many others have not been so lucky. What we’re going to be able to do, we’re going to be able to help people rebuild houses and get their homes back. That’s more important than any win. I can’t wait to get home to Houston and help my hometown recover.”

Stacy Lewis has relied on her JPX900 Tour irons to hit nearly 75% of the greens in regulation during her 2017 season to date, and this latest victory is the 12th of her LPGA Tour career, including two Majors.
