Bobby Jones – Jimenez wins in style at Champions Tour season-opener

January 28, 2015 – The newest Bobby Jones tour team member, Miguel Angel Jimenez, made his 2015 Champions Tour debut in Bobby Jones apparel, a memorable one, birdieing 6 of his final 9 holes to win the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai Golf Club on Sunday.  The victory gave “The Mechanic” his second title in three Champions Tour career starts, and it continued Bobby Jones’ momentum coming off of a successful 2015 PGA Merchandise Show, where the Jimenez signing and Fall 15 collection unveiling created tremendous buzz among attendees.

Miguel Angel Jimenez, who now has 23 international victories to his credit, earned $309,000 to start his season and jumped out to an early lead in the season-long Charles Schwab Cup points race.  For the week, Jimenez finished 17-under par, recording a field-best 21 birdies at Hualalai in Bobby Jones Supreme Cotton Polos.
