ECCO Golf – Re-signing of two-time Major winner Lydia Ko

August 25, 2021 – Pioneering footwear brand, ECCO Golf, has announced the re-signing of LPGA star, Lydia Ko, on a three-year deal.

The New Zealander, who recently won Olympic bronze in Tokyo 2020, has represented ECCO since 2017 and is one of the most popular players in women’s golf. She has been back close to her scintillating best in 2021, setting a new tournament scoring record in route to winning the LPGA Tour’s LOTTE Championship in April.

Ko, 24, also finished in second place at the ANA Inspiration, one of eight top-10 finishes so far this season, as she continues to show the form that previously took her to world number one and saw her win both the 2016 ANA Inspiration and 2015 Evian Championship.

ECCO Golf – Lydia Ko sets new scoring record to win LOTTE Championship, with the ECCO BIOM G3 footwear

April 20, 2021 – ECCO Golf ambassador, Lydia Ko, fired a new tournament record of 28-under-par to claim her first win in over two years on Saturday at the LOTTE Championship 2021 on the LPGA Tour.

The Kiwi has made a strong start to 2021, with a run of high finishes – including second place at the ANA Inspiration – reminiscent of the form which took her to world number one. This week, wearing ECCO BIOM G3, Ko shot four rounds in the sixties to win by seven shots in Hawaii.

“Hand on my heart, I know there were times that I wondered ‘Hey, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be back in the winner’s circle.’ But I’m obviously grateful for everything that has happened in my career, and I believe that we’re in the position that we’re meant to be in,” said Lydia Ko.

“I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, especially around a golf course like this. The scores can be really low, and it doesn’t matter how far back you are, you can always be in it. I just continued to stick to my game plan,” she added.

ECCO Golf – Fresh updates in premium golf footwear for Autumn-Winter 2020

September 15, 2020 – Global golf footwear innovators, ECCO Golf, have introduced a selection of fresh new twists on both their men’s and women’s collections for Autumn-Winter 2020.

The most notable update has been made to the uppers of the men’s ECCO BIOM G3, the Danish brand’s flagship cleated model, which is now made using ECCO Soft Calf Nappa performance leather for a smoother look and feel, crafted in the company’s own tanneries.

The leather is strong and abrasion-resistant due to the thin, compact woven collage fibre and close fine grains. Other benefits include high levels of breathability, a remarkably soft hand feel and 100% waterproof GORE-TEX technology that keeps feet dry and comfortable in all conditions.

ECCO Golf – Major Champion Henrik Stenson signs to play wearing famed hybrid golf shoes

January 16, 2020 – ECCO – a leading manufacturer of innovative footwear – announces the signing of Henrik Stenson as a brand ambassador. The 43-year-old Swede has penned a multi-year agreement and will compete around the world wearing ECCO Golf’s famed hybrid golf shoes.

Stenson has enjoyed a stellar career since turning pro in 1998 and became the first male Swedish major champion when he won the 2016 Open Championship at Royal Troon with a major championship record lowest aggregate score of 264.

“I’m delighted to be joining forces with ECCO GOLF,” said Henrik Stenson. “They are a brand I have long admired due to their passion for innovation, quality and style. A two-time European Tour Golfer of the Year (2013 and 2016) and Olympic silver medalist, Stenson has spent over 300 weeks ranked in the World Top Ten during an illustrious career, which has seen him record more than 20 Tour victories.
