TaylorMade Golf – M1 Driver domination in first week on the PGA and European Tour
September 18, 2015 – In its inaugural week on both the PGA Tour and European Tour, TaylorMade’s M1 Driver has become the No.1 played model on Tour at this week’s BMW Championship and Italian Open, respectively. With the stakes as high as they are this late in the season and players rarely making equipment changes, a multitude of players made an immediate switch based on the impressive results they saw in testing.
In just two days of fitting prior to the first round of the penultimate tournament in the FedExCup Playoffs, a total of 16 TaylorMade Tour staff professionals tested and were fitted into M1, electing to immediately put the company’s longest driver ever (**) into their bags.
At the European Tour’s Italian Open, a total of 25 players were fitted into the M1 driver this week, having only seen the product for the first time on Monday. By the start of play, M1 was the leading driver model in the field; a true testament to the unrivalled performance of M1 in its maiden week on Tour. Many more players are expected to add it to the bag over the coming weeks.
Just some of the players who have already made the switch into M1 on both the PGA & European Tour include: Jason Day, (#1 in the FedExCup standings), Dustin Johnson (#1 on the PGA Tour in driving distance with 319.9y ***), Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer, Edoardo Molinari, Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley.
Following more than two decades of advanced research and development, TaylorMade Golf, makers of the No.1 Driver in golf (*), have developed a multi-material combination of a seven-layer carbon composite and titanium to unlock their longest driver in company history, M1.
Por REDACCIÓN(*) #1 Driver in Golf claim based on combined 2014 wins and usage on the PGA, European, Japan Golf, Web.com, Champions and LPGA Tours, as reported by the Darrell Survey Co. and Sports Marketing Surveys, Inc*.
