Golf Pride – ALIGN Technology is now available in rubber, hybrid and cord with the Z-Grip ALIGN

April 8, 2019 – Golf Pride, a division of power management company Eaton and an industry leader in grip innovation, has announced it will offer the brand’s Z-Grip with its popular ALIGN Technology in 2019.

According to a recent survey, ALIGN Technology is now used by 74 TOUR players. This technology was first introduced in Golf Pride brand’s MCC and MCC Plus4 hybrid grips and is also available in an all-rubber Tour Velvet grip option. With the addition of a full cord grip to complement the existing options, Golf Pride now offers ALIGN Technology in a full range of feel preferences.

The innovative ALIGN Technology activates upon installation with a dedicated raised ridge on the back of the grip allowing for consistent hand placement and enhanced clubface awareness. ALIGN Technology also features a unique micro-diamond texture and firmer material compared to the surrounding grip area, amplifying its pronounced feel. A flex channel separates the ALIGN Technology ridge from the grip body to maximise elevation lift and lock the grip into the fingers, while conforming to the Rules of Golf.

The Z-Grip is designed to deliver the highest level of shot feedback and all-weather control in the market today. Constructed with Golf Pride’s firmest material and deep ‘Z’ grip texture, the grip has quickly grown into the fastest growing full cord model on TOUR and in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The grip is typically preferred by serious players with mid-to low-level handicaps, who appreciate the superior feedback of a firmer durometer cord grip.

The Contour Pro putter grip offers the leading Tour-preferred, pistol-shape in two oversized models for unsurpassed feel and feedback.

The TOUR SNSR Contour Pro utilises the same soft, ultra-tuned rubber formulation as its predecessors, giving the grip an excellent feel and facilitating lighter grip pressure to encourage a smoother stroke. The proprietary TOUR SNSR technology enhances feedback, affording better distance control on greens of all speeds.

The TOUR SNSR Contour Pro putter grip also features soft, rounded edges, and a pistol flare back to more naturally fit in the hands. The shape includes a wide, paddle front for a consistent landing zone for the fingers and a tapered profile for players who prefer the traditional, sculptured grip design. Golf Pride – Breakthrough Tour Velvet ALIGN technology to feel clubface awareness throughout the swing

February 21, 2018 – Eaton has announced that its Golf Pride Grips Division will infuse the Tour Velvet, the #1 grip model on Tour, with the revolutionary ALIGN Technology.

The proprietary ALIGN Technology, which was first introduced in the flagship MCC and MCC Plus4 grip families last year, features a dedicated raised ridge that extends down the back of the grip for consistent hand placement allowing a golfer increased clubface awareness throughout the swing and at impact.  With the introduction of Tour Velvet ALIGN, the Tour’s three most preferred grip models will all be available with ALIGN Technology.

Tour Velvet is the #1 grip played on all global Tours, with nearly 50% of the field in any given event choosing to rely on its proprietary feel and proven “plus-sign” texture performance.  Introducing ALIGN Technology to the Tour Velvet may appear straightforward on the surface; however, adding this innovative technology to the gold standard of tour performance grips proved to be more intricate. Golf Pride engineers answered the challenge through advancements in both material and process developments, while ensuring its same world-renowned feel and performance.

ALIGN Technology activates upon installation with a dedicated raised ridge on the back of the grip allowing for consistent hand placement and an enhanced clubface awareness. ALIGN Technology also features a unique micro-diamond texture and firmer material compared to the surrounding grip area to amplify its pronounced feel. A flex channel separates the ALIGN Technology ridge from the grip body to maximise elevation lift and lock the grip into the fingers, while conforming to the rules of golf.

“We received incredible feedback from Tour players and amateurs last year about our MCC ALIGN and MCC Plus4 ALIGN grips, and we even saw a major victory in the first week the technology was put in play on the Champions Tour,” said Jonathan Neal, global head of marketing for Golf Pride Grips.

“Last year, we had a countless number of players request that we make ALIGN Technology available in other models. While this sounds easy, bringing the product to market required state-of-the-art material development along with innovations in our manufacturing processes to ensure premium performance and quality.”

“Our R&D team worked rigorously in the lab to ensure that a player would keep the same feel and texture they have come to love in the Tour Velvet with the added benefit that ALIGN Technology delivers. With the addition of Tour Velvet ALIGN to this incredibly innovative family, we’ve ensured that ALIGN Technology is offered in a diverse range of feel and performance options.”

Golf Pride – The grips in 2017, another year of great success for Golf Pride

October 18, 2017 – Perhaps many amateur golfers don’t pay much attention to the grips of their golf clubs. However, these rubber tubes fixed to the shaft are undoubtedly a fundamental piece of golf equipment. They establish the connection between the hands and the club, and their performance and feeling are decisive when transmitting the intention from the swing to the golf ball, and the feedback of the impact to the player.

Nothing to worry about! The player can feel at ease and carry on without concern if what his or her hands are holding clubs gripped with Golf Pride, the brand of grips by the multinational Eaton that guarantee the best performance endorsed by Tour professionals. They play them and trust them on a daily basis, without the need for any contracts. And the clubmakers know it.

For yet another year, this has been a successful season for Golf Pride. In the 2017 Open Championship held at Royal Birkdale, eight of the Top-10s competed with these grips and almost 83% of the players entrusted their play to Golf Pride, of which 43 did so with the MCC models, the highlight family of the brand. With them, Branden Grace scored an extraordinary 62, the lowest card ever achieved in the history of the Major.

“At the Open Championship, weather changes in an instant, so it’s very important that players have confidence that their grips will stand up in all weather conditions,” said Brandon Sowell, Global Sales and Marketing Director for Golf Pride.

Following these examples, the 2017 PGA Championship of Quail Hollow Club champion, Justin Thomas, played with the Velvet Cord Tour grip to conquer the title in hot and humid conditions. Here ten of the twelve who finished in the Top-10 were Golf Pride users, which accounted for 81% of the total players.

The brand was also used by 80% of the 2017 Masters players, and its new model MCC Plus4 Align won the US Senior Open handled by Kenny Perry. In the 2017 Solheim Cup that the US Team recently won against Europe by 16.5 to 11.5, Golf Pride also celebrated a great victory. At Des Moines Golf & Country Club, 88% of golfers expressed a passion for their teams on the course wielding the Golf Pride.

“For amateurs and Tour players alike, improving performance is at the top of everyone’s minds at Golf Pride. Seeing the best in the world choose our brand validates our conviction to continuously innovate with technology to improve the golfer’s performance,” continues Brandon Sowell.

“At Golf Pride our No1 goal is ensuring that a player’s only connection to their club, the grip, provides superior technology to ensure his confidence in every swing. We are extremely proud that the overwhelming majority of players choose Golf Pride.”

Each week, Golf Pride is the leading grip played from tee-to-green on the PGA Tour with an average of 80% of pros choosing Golf Pride swing grips in each event, without any paid endorsements.

Victory, Tour Velvet, MCC, CP2, Tour Wrap, Z-Grip… for swing clubs or SNSR for putters… Many grip families and models are manufactured by Golf Pride, and now they have come to Spain thanks to the distribution of Holiday Golf. The latest breakthrough has come with the MCC Align and MCC Plus 4 Align models, with technology that activates to raise a ridge allowing for consistent hand placement and an enhanced ability to square the clubface at impact each and every time.

It’s time to renew your grips!
