Motocaddy – Amy Boulden becomes global brand ambassador for world’s leading trolley brand

July 26, 2022 – Motocaddy, the world’s biggest-selling electric trolley brand, has signed Welsh Ladies European Tour star, Amy Boulden as a global brand ambassador to promote its award-winning range of trolleys and rangefinder products to a growing female audience.

Following one of the most successful amateur careers in Welsh golfing history, including representing Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Solheim Cup, plus Great Britain and Ireland in the 2012 Curtis Cup, Boulden turned professional in 2013 and has two career wins to her name. In September 2020, she claimed her first victory on the LET with a three-stroke victory at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open.

“We’re delighted to welcome Amy to our growing team of global brand ambassadors and we’re looking forward to working with her on future campaigns,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher.

“The popularity of golf continues to grow, and the number of girls taking up the sport from a young age is increasing. Over the last couple of years, the biggest growth in golfing participation has been for female golfers and we feel Amy really resonates not just to aspiring young women taking up the game, but also more established golfers.

“Our research has shown that the majority of female golfers use electric trolleys over push carts or carrying their clubs, and we’re looking forward to Amy experiencing all the health and performance benefits she will get from using Motocaddy products,” he added.

“I’ve heard so many great things about Motocaddy as a brand and its products and I’m really happy to be joining the team as a global brand ambassador,” said Amy Boulden, who is playing a full Ladies European Tour schedule this season.

“I always want to give back to the game that I’ve loved from a young age, so if I can help any young ladies out there or women golfers on the whole, then I will do and I can’t wait to get going with Motocaddy and start using products that I know will benefit my game,” she added.

Galvin Green – Amy Boulden renews her clothing deal for 2021 season

November 12, 2020 – Amy Boulden, who won her maiden Ladies European Tour title at the Swiss Ladies Open in September, has renewed her contract with leading apparel brand Galvin Green for the 2021 season.

The popular Welsh golfer became a Team Galvin Green player two years ago to wear brand’s high-performance technical clothing and has seen her form improve markedly since then. In addition to her emphatic victory in Switzerland, Amy also wore her Galvin Green wardrobe when regaining her LET card with a final stage victory at Q-school in La Manga, southern Spain last January.

“Wearing Galvin Green outfits like the highly breathable VENTIL8 Plus shirts and skorts has made a real difference to my game and confidence,” said Amy Boulden. “I love playing in warmer climates and knowing that I won’t ever get uncomfortable out on the course played a big factor in my recent success, especially when I got into contention for my first Tour title in the warm Alpine conditions.

“That’s why I’m thrilled to renew my association with such an innovative brand as Galvin Green that provides clothing to give you the ‘feel good’ factor whatever weather you face,” she added.

Marketing Manager Annelie Backgård Ginstman commented: “Amy is an amazing brand ambassador for the Galvin Green women’s collection and we’re delighted to see her profile grow after winning her first Tour title. We hope it acts as a springboard for more top finishes during the new season.”

Amy’s current favourite outfit when playing in hot or humid conditions is the stylish combination of a MURIEL shirt and NIKKI skort (pictured in the high temperatures of Saudi Arabia).

The sporty MURIEL shirt has exceptional breathability and Quickdry comfort. Made from VENTIL8 Plus stretch fabric, it also offers UV protection of 20+. The same degree of breathability and stretch fabric benefits are found with the NIKKI skort that incorporates inner shorts. Without any visible seams, the skort also features distinctive piping details on the front pockets.

As the leading premium golf apparel brand that looks to deliver stellar performance from every garment, Galvin Green turned to the galaxy for inspiration for its current range that incorporates Amy’s choice of garments on Tour. Bluesign approved fabrics ensure sustainability across much of the collection, that also features a new eco-generation of INSULA tops including a women’s golf hoodie (DIANE) made 100% from recycled plastic bottles.

The latest women’s collection includes GORE-TEX waterproof jackets and pants in stretch fabric, a wide choice of sweaters, long and short sleeved shirts, ankle length pants, skorts and shorts, thermal vests and leggings, plus matching accessories, including hats with thermal insulation and snoods.

Watches and Golf – Amy Boulden wins LET’s Omega Rookie of the Year prize

Amy-Boulden-LET-Rookie-2014

December 14, 2014 – Amy Boulden capped her first season as a professional by winning the Ladies European Tour’s Omega Rookie of the Year prize.

The 21-year-old from Llandudno, in Wales, led the rookie rankings heading into the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, the final tournament of the 2014. With her tied 24h place finish, she held off the challenge of her nearest rivals, Sally Watson of Scotland and Nicole Broch Larsen from Denmark, to earn a beautiful OMEGA Speedmaster chronograph with a white mother-of-pearl dial, a diamond-paved bezel and a white leather strap.

“It’s been a really great first season on the Ladies European Tour,” said Amy Boulden, who won the Association Suisse de Golf Ladies Open on the LET Access Series in May. “It was one of my goals from when I turned pro, to win Rookie of the Year.  I thought it was going to be quite tough this year not having a full card.  I wasn’t sure how many events I was going to be playing in but starting the year well has helped me a lot. It’s a real honour to win and join the prestigious list of former winners, including Laura Davies, Annika Sorenstam and Charley Hull.”

Boulden was one of the top performers in 2014 and recorded four top 10 finishes including a second place at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France.

She finished third at the Sberbank Golf Masters in the Czech Republic, fourth at the Ladies German Open presented by Marriott and 10th at the Tenerife Open de España Femenino.

With season’s earnings of €83,982.17, she finished 18th on the 2014 Order of Merit, five places ahead of the second placed rookie Watson.
