Srixon Sports Europe – Lionel Caron Named Golf Equipment CEO of the Year 2025 by EU Business News
October 13, 2025 – Lionel Caron, CEO of Srixon Sports Europe, has been named Golf Equipment CEO of the Year at the 2025 European CEO of the Year Awards, recognising his strategic leadership, commercial innovation and commitment to long-term growth across the company’s three major brands.
The award, presented by EU Business News, celebrates Caron’s transformational impact since his promotion to chief executive in April 2024, following 25 years with the company. His deep understanding of the business, from product innovation to player partnerships, has shaped a dynamic new chapter for the Srixon, Cleveland Golf and XXIO brands across Europe.
Under Caron’s leadership, the company has achieved significant milestones in digital transformation, including the launch of a new B2B platform in partnership with BigCommerce, delivering enhanced buying experiences for trade customers across the continent. Srixon has developed unified data architecture integrating all software tools through a customer data platform, streamlining operations and improving customer journey management.
“This award is a proud moment for the entire Srixon Europe team,” said Lionel Caron. “More than an individual prize, this award celebrates a collective effort by our British and European teams who work every day to improve the service we provide to our customers”.
Caron has also spearheaded the launch of Srixon’s first Elite Amateur Support Programme in 2024, backing emerging players across the UK and Continental Europe with equipment support and national federation partnerships. Managed by the Srixon Tour Team, the initiative helps bridge the gap between elite amateur golf and the professional game whilst strengthening grassroots development and brand loyalty across key markets.
The company’s commitment to responsible business practices has also advanced under Caron’s leadership, with sustainability initiatives including the recent installation of over 300 square metres of solar panels at the Surrey headquarters, generating more than 95,000 kWh of renewable electricity annually as part of Srixon’s journey toward net zero by 2050.
“This recognition validates our strategic approach to innovation and growth,” added Lionel Caron. “We’re building lasting partnerships with retailers, supporting the next generation of talent and taking measured steps toward environmental responsibility.”
The recognition comes as Srixon Sports Europe continues expanding its market presence across key European territories, building on partnerships with professional players and amateur development programmes.
