September 22, 2026 – Jacob Bridgeman added to his banner 2026 season with his second career PGA Tour victory at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.

He had already secured a signature win at Tiger’s Genesis Invitational, a T4 finish on the FedEx Cup standings and a spot on next week’s Team USA Presidents Cup team…and now adds on a win at his hometown event.

At an event just under an hour from his home in South Carolina, Jacob entered Sunday five shots behind the leader and made up the entire deficit before he even made the turn going five-under in his first eight holes. He finished with a Sunday 61 to win by two shots at 26-under (66-67-64-61).

To steal a basketball term, Jacob filled up the stat sheet in Asheville.

For the week he finished:

• 1st in SG: Putting: 8.132
• T2 in Driving Accuracy: 47-for-52 (90.38%)
• 3rd in SG: Approach: 6.418
• 3rd in Putts per GIR: 1.54
• T8 in SG: Off-the-Tee: 3.327

TP5x TO TROPHIES

The one constant in all of those stats above? Jacob’s TP5x golf ball. His switch to TP5x is perhaps one of the more consequential gear changes of the season. The proof is in the stats.

He finished the regular season and playoffs first in approaches 100-125 yards, sixth from 50-125 yards, 10th from 125-150 yards and 14th from 150-175 yards. Last year in those same categories Jacob ranked: 76th, 52nd, 72nd, 101st.

This week that success continued from all distances, especially on Sunday where he gained over three strokes on approach shots.

The impetus of the switch comes from the 2025 FedEx Cup playoffs where Jacob noticed he was having difficulty holding the firm greens at the PGA TOUR’s toughest setups.

During the offseason, he spent time working with TaylorMade Tour reps and found that the TP5x allowed him to see the spin numbers and windows he was looking for, especially with his irons. The fact that he picked up 2-3 mph of ball speed off the tee didn’t hurt either!

Qi4D SWITCH MADE FOR BIG MOMENTS

At the BMW Championship, Bridgeman switched to Qi4D 10.5° driver with the intention of having a driver he was confident in for the stretch run of the playoffs and next week’s Presidents Cup. That week at Bellerive he gained nearly a stroke off the tee in the final round to secure a top 10 finish. Then, in the TOUR Championship he finished 8th in SG: off the tee in the final round to secure a T4 finish.

This week Jacob gained over three shots off-the-tee and finished fourth in driving accuracy hitting 90% of fairways. In fact, he only missed one fairway the entire weekend and that didn’t come until the 12th hole of the final round. Jacob had a 22 hole stretch where he hit every fairway between rounds two and four!

Jacob has steadily become one of the best putters on planet earth over his last three seasons on Tour. This season he was THE best, leading the PGA TOUR in strokes gained: putting gaining 55.45 strokes total on the greens.

He led the field this week gaining 8.124 strokes putting headlined by a 10-foot birdie make on the eighth hole on Sunday to tie for the lead.
