April 6, 2015 – Srixon and Cleveland Golf have congratulated staffer J.B. Holmes for his victory at the 2015 Shell Houston Open held at the Golf Club of Houston, in Humble (Texas, U.S.). The 32-year-old Kentucky native earned his 4th career PGA Tour title in a playoff Sunday after shooting a final round eight-under 64, the low round of the day, which included birdies on the first five holes and nine of the first 12 holes.
Holmes started six shots back of the leader heading into the final round, but his nine birdies and one bogey performance on Sunday helped to propel him up the leader board and into a three-way playoff with an overall score of 16-under 272. Holmes clinched the victory with a tap-in par on the second playoff hole to move him into third place on the 2015 PGA Tour Money List.
“I’ve been working on taking it one shot a time, which I did a pretty good job of that today,” J.B. Holmes said. “A lot of it has to do with confidence in your game, as well as confidence in your equipment. The new Srixon Z-STAR ball is unquestionably the best ball I’ve ever played.”
