October 28, 2014 – Last week, the third edition of the European Congress of AimPoint was held at Valle Romano Golf & Resort, Estepona (Málaga). The congress was attended by some thirty professional golf instructors from Germany, Austria, Denmark, Scotland, Finland, Wales, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Spain, and even two from the U.S.A.
Mark Sweeney is the founder of AimPoint, the green reading and putting system which is spreading fast at the moment in golf, which we often see when Tour professionals like Adam Scott, Hunter Mahan, Jason Dufner or Stacy Lewis are on the green. He has chosen Spain for third time for the annual European Congress (Desert Springs in 2012, and Valle Romano in 2013 and 2014) in order to update the European certified golf coaches with the latest improvements developed in AimPoint.
The conference has concentrated on subjects like presenting the method and refining the accuracy of AimPoint Express to calculate where to point depending on the slope of the green. Furthermore, it was stressed that amateur golfers should look for AimPoint certified professionals in order to learn it properly, and thus avoid over-simplifying the basis of the method.
