March 8, 2015 – At the start of the season, Torrequebrada Golf Club, in Benalmádena (Malaga, Spain), has completely refurbished and redecorated its shop with the collaboration and advice of Holiday Golf, after signing a special agreement with this major distributor of golf products, clothes and accessories. Holiday Golf is the largest supplier in Spain and Portugal, with the most extensive range of golf-related brands.

“Holiday Golf has provided us with key support in renovating our shop, which we hadn’t really touched since 1995”, explains the club’s General Manager Francisco Ruiz. “We’ve completely changed it and now it has a much more modern look and we can display the products much better”.

Torrequebrada has undergone a change of mentality when it comes to the shop. “Of course, because for us the shop was nothing more than a service that we ‘had’ to provide clients with. Now we see it as another very important business option for the club. We aim to make it profitable rather than leave it unkempt.”

Since carrying out the changes, the increase in sales is evident. “A great deal. The first month of the ‘new’ shop we nearly doubled sales, which was our minimum objective. This is a commitment for the future, and we’re sure that the small investment we’ve made will be very profitable.”

The changes also include the incorporation of exclusive staff to take care of the shop, which is producing very good results. Now the members and visitors feel they are being looked after and assisted as soon as they arrive at the club.

In the main golf brands there are “Ecco shoes, which represent a sure and winning bet. Also Bridgestone golf balls – we now sell lots of them – and all the women’s clothes that we didn’t have before. Also”, adds the club General Manager, “with the help of Holiday Golf we have modernised the design of our logos for embroidering and printing on our clothes and caps, and this is working very well. Now they have a very American style, and are greatly influenced by the year the club opened in 1976”, ends Francisco Ruiz.
