Softspikes – Champions on all major golf tours including another win for Tour Flex Pro on the PGA Tour
September 17, 2024 – Softspikes enjoyed a dominant Sunday on all of golf’s major tours, with four players trusting replaceable traction to win their respective titles.
Wearing Tour Flex Pro spikes in his FootJoy HyperFlex 3.0 shoes, Patton Kizzire, the winner of the Procore Championship 2024 captured a third PGA Tour victory, shooting a four-round total of 20-under-par to win by 5-shots over his nearest challenger. He becomes the 33rd PGA Tour winner to do so wearing spikes in the past 36 events. Additionally, 28 of the top 36 finishers at the Procore Championship chose replaceable spikes over a spikeless alternative.
On the DP World Tour, the winner of the Amgen Irish Open, Rasmus Hojgaard, produced a six-under-par final round, wearing spikes in his adidas golf shoes, to capture his 4th tour title. In South Dakota at the PGA Tour Champions Sanford Invitational, the winner Steve Stricker claimed a three-peat wearing Pulsar spikes in his FootJoy Premier Series golf shoes. It was also another win for Pulsar spikes with Paul Peterson on The Korn Ferry Tour.
“The main FedEx Cup season may have come to a finale, but we were treated to some exceptional golf over the weekend, and we are delighted that all four of the above champions chose to put their trust in replaceable traction,”commented Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes.
Tour players change grips and traction regularly based on course conditions, but amateur golfers rarely think about the impact wearing spikes has on consistency and distance. To achieve optimal performance benefits, golfers should be switching up their spikes every 15 rounds.
