Crest Link – Leading the way as Official Apparel of the Emirates Australian Open
December 4, 2015 – Crest Link golf apparel brand last week highlighted many of its new 2016 collection in its new role of Official Apparel Partner at Emirates Australian Open 2015, held at prestigious The Australian Golf Club close to Sydney.
For the celebration of its 100th Anniversary this world class tournament could not have a better partner. As exclusive apparel sponsor, Crest Link has provided attire for up to 350 volunteers and 75 officials of the event staff, supplying apparel also for the Pro Am players and the week’s caddy bibs. The Emirates Australian Open is considered Australia’s premier golf tournament, which attracts the world’s best players including the current world #1 Jordan Spieth.
In 2015 the tournament had some 50,000 spectators, who were able to purchase the latest Crest Link polo shirts, caps and bags all with the logo of the event.
Crest Link has displayed a very good presence in Sydney, and is proud of raising the brand to another level in this new market. A great job for all the team of the company, who are already looking forward to returning in 2016.
Playing The Australian, his home course, Matt Jones was the winner after a tough final round against Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott, tied runner-ups only one shot behind. Jones fired rounds of 67, 68, 68 and 73, for a total of 8-under and 276 shots. This is Jones’ first victory in his own country, and second as a professional, earning a place to play The Open next July.
Matt Jones was the best of a draw which had a strong presence of Crest Link ambassadors of the PGA Tour of Australasia, like the Australians Stephen Allan (T21), Gareth Paddison (T30) and Michael Moore (T54). During the competition, the polo shirts of the brand stood out not only amongst the players, but also for the volunteers, and the Crest Link logo featured on the bibs of all the caddies.
The apparel of the Malaysian company is perfect for the Australian golfers, as its clothing offers efficient moisture absorption and evaporation, it feels smooth and lighter than the traditional cotton golf fabrics, keeps golfers cool and dry at all times, gives protection against UV rays and reduces the fatigue thanks to Crest Link technical fabric innovations such Micro-Dri, Micro-Dri A-Vent, Micro-Dri UV or Comp-Tech. All of these have been designed with the priority of putting golfers and their performance first, beyond anything else.
As an established brand for many years, Crest Link is increasing its presence Down Under, and the Australia’s National Open has been the perfect event for leading the way.
