February 9, 2016 – Callaway Golf staff player Danny Willett holed a brilliant clutch putt on the final green at the 2016 Omega Dubai Desert Classic to claim his fourth European Tour title in dramatic fashion.

Willett’s 19-under par victory makes it a #TeamCallaway 1-2-3 in the current Race to Dubai standings, with Willett rising to third, accompanying fellow staff professionals, Branden Grace(2nd) and Swede Henrik Stenson (1st).

Leading a stellar field heading into the final day’s play at Emirates Golf Club, Willett put total trust in a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey equipment, including a new XR 16 Driver, XR 16 Fairway Woods and Odyssey Versa #1 Wide Putter, to shoot a 3-under par 69 and claim the €402,670 winner’s cheque.

“You’d love to win by five or six every time you win, but when you win in that fashion it does feel that little bit extra special. You can’t buy that feeling, coming down the back nine, the back three, in contention in a golf tournament. It’s something that you can’t pay for in life. You’ve got to earn it.

“Coming down the last with all the situations that were going on. It’s just nice to know that I can dig deep there and produce,” said Dany Willett, who now rises to No13 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

He was in hot form with his Odyssey Versa #1 Wide putter all week, topping the ‘Putts Per Green in Regulation’ rankings, averaging just 1.532 putts per green and just 27 putts per round for the tournament. He also averaged 297 yards from the tee with his new XR 16 Driver.

To top a fantastic tournament for #TeamCallaway, fellow Staff Professional Alvaro Quiros shared fourth place on 16-under, one shot ahead of stablemate, Henrik Stenson, who carded a final round 65.
