Callaway Golf – All the equipment of Danny Willett, King of the Mountains
July 28, 2015 – Callaway Golf staff player Danny Willett has earned his second European Tour victory of the 2015 Race to Dubai after a flawless five-under par final round in the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre GC, Switzerland.
The 27-year-old, who is now second in The Race to Dubai standings, recently added a new Odyssey Versa #1 Wide Putter to his bag and followed opening rounds of 65 and 62 (which included just 26 putts) with 71 and 65 at the weekend to secure victory and earn his third European Tour career win.
Commenting after his win, Danny Willett said: “It was a great day and I played some really good golf, so I’m delighted to get the job done. I kept calm and just waited for the chances to come. Winning is always tough and the heart rate on 18 was pretty high.
“It’s been a phenomenal year so far. Two wins and good performances in Majors and Golf Championships is more than I could have hoped for really, but I have worked hard so it is nice to get the rewards for it.”
Neil Howie, Managing Director of Callaway EMEA, said: “Danny is full of confidence and, after a Top 10 in The Open and a win this week, he stands every chance of adding to his tally this season.
“Having made some equipment changes recently, Danny has been going about his business with great conviction and adding to the already impressive number of wins by Callaway Staff Professionals this year.”
