Titleist – Already the 77th Consecutive Editions as the No.1 Golf Ball at the U.S. Open Championship
June 14, 2025 – In June 1949, at Medinah Country Club, more competitors at the U.S. Open chose to put a Titleist golf ball in play than any other brand. For the first time, Titleist was the No. 1 ball played at the U.S. Open Championship.
That trust has continued over time, as this week at Oakmont Country Club, for the 77th consecutive year, 107 players (68.6%) teed off their Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls to face one of the most challenging tests in golf.
They trust them when precision is everything, when they know they need to unleash the best golf they have, and when making history is on the line.
And when faced with one of the game’s most demanding course setups, more and more players are choosing to play Titleist drivers (37%), Titleist irons (31%) and Titleist Vokey wedges (51%) at Oakmont, making it the No. 1 brand in those categories as well, with more golf clubs than any other brand.
