XXIO – Inbee Park seals her 17th LPGA title at the 2015 Lorena Ochoa Invitational

November 18, 2015 – Inbee Park, staff player of XXIO, Srixon and Cleveland Golf, has been the winner of the 2015 Lorena Ochoa Invitational held at the Club de Golf Mexico, in Mexico City.

The 27-year-old South Korean finished the tournament at 18-under 270 to win the event by three strokes, while moving within three points of the leader in the 2015 Rolex Player of the Year race. Park finished her final round with eight birdies and no bogies, hitting 13 of 14 fairways and 17 of 18 greens.  The victory was Park’s fifth win of the season and her 17th LPGA Tour title.

“Winning this tournament is such an honour. It’s a thrill,” said Inbee Park“This is my ninth year on the tour and I definitely achieved a lot of things and have been really enjoying myself out here.  It was almost a perfect day today. I didn’t make any mistakes, so I was able to focus on my game.”

The South Korean golfer, who is currently the world’s No 2 ranked player, earned $200,000 for the victory, and is currently second on the money list with $2,570,096.  With the victory, she has now moved within one point of the required 27 points needed for entry into the LPGA Hall of Fame.
