Wilson Golf – Introduction of brand new Staff & Hi Toe Model Wedges for 2020

December 31, 2019 – Wilson Golf has completely re-designed its short-game offering for 2020 with the introduction of the precision-milled Wilson Staff Model wedges in six lofts, plus a brand new Wilson Staff Model Hi Toe version in two lofts, created to install confidence and reliability on all-important scoring shots.

Designed in collaboration with its Tour players, Wilson Staff Model wedges provide golfers with a delicate soft touch for increased feel around the green. Featuring soft-forged 8620 Carbon Steel construction with machine-engraved scorelines in the precision-milled face, the Wilson Staff Model wedges create Tour-calibre spin and control when needed most.

“These new Wilson Staff Model and Staff Model Hi Toe wedges deliver a clean design and precision milled clubfaces to give golfers a boost in confidence in their short game,” said Jon Pergande, Global Manager of Innovation.

“Designed with the feedback from our Wilson Staff PGA Tour players, including US Open Champion Gary Woodland and Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington, both wedges look very different, but provide golfers the same control and greater consistency, while offering different shot-making capabilities,” he added.

Incorporating True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 steel shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, the Wilson Staff Model wedges are available in 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, and 60-degree options, plus 52, 56, and 60-degree options are available for left-handed players.

  • The Wilson Staff Model wedges will be available in January at an RRP of £109 each.

WILSON STAFF MODEL HI TOE WEDGE

The Wilson Staff Model Hi Toe wedges combines a high toe and wide sole with a 431 stainless steel head and a precision-milled face for ultimate creativity around the green. The face shape allows the club to be played at varying degrees of open and closed configurations, providing complete control over the amount of face that makes contact with the ball.

Machine-engraved scorelines across the whole milled face feature a higher density pattern for a more consistent contact at impact, resulting in maximum spin and control on every shot.

The Wilson Staff Model Hi-Toe wedges come in 56 and 60-degree options also featuring True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 steel shaft and a Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip.
