April 16, 2014 – The Spanish company Replay Golf plans to double its production capacity of recycled golf balls and reach 10 to 12 million units in 2016.

The news was made public last week on the occasion of the visit to the factory in Ólvega (Soria, Spain), by María del Mar Angulo, President of Partido Popular of Soria, and Gerardo Martinez, Mayor of the town and Vice-Secretary of Economic Action of the Partido Popular of Soria.

The project has the support of Riendus and Sodical with funds targeted towards the expansion and improvement of production processes. “This support has helped Replay Golf to consolidate itself in the international golf market, and become a leading brand in the production of the best reconditioned (refurbished) golf balls of the market,” says Alvaro Fernandez, Sales & Marketing Manager of Replay Golf.

The company recovers golf balls from major world golf markets: USA, Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy and, of course, Spain.

“By expanding our production capacity with machines and workforce we hope to produce between 6 and 8 million balls in 2014, 50% more than the 4 million with which we closed 2013,” adds Alvaro Fernandez.

“Our growth is based, First, on the quality: Replay produces the best Recycled and Refurbished golf ball in the market; Second, on the service: We can provide our customers with a complete solution to their needs; and Third, on our strategic position as the only factory of its kind in Europe.”

Golf balls come back into circulation for sale mainly in the United States, Europe and Australia. The forecasts are to reach 6-8 million by 2014, 8-10 million by 2015, and 10-12 million by 2016.
