Ping – Serene makes golf easier for lady golfers

November 5, 2012 – Drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and putters. Ping has launched a complete family of golf clubs for lady golfers, the Serenes, with which women will be able to hit the ball longer and straighter with more consistency off the tee and from the fairway. These golf clubs are forgiving, high launching and with optimized trajectories that give you more confidence to play at your best.

The new Serene collection of Ping has been designed specifically for lady golfers, applying innovations that truly improve the distance and the forgiveness of golfers with an average to moderate swing speed.

And it’s not just about looks (lilac with a pretty stencil). Ping’s research has produced engineering which manages to increase its forgiveness, one of the most important factors which help gain distance for the lady golfer. Whether you play with the driver, fairway woods, hybrids or irons, with a higher MOI, they will provide faster ball speeds from the entire surface of the faces.

Serene Women’s Driver

The large size of the Serene driver head, 460cc with expanded clubface of 6-4 Titanium, produces an increase in the MOI which maximizes forgiveness. A centre of gravity which is lower and further back helps to generate a high launch and less spin to increase carry distance and rollup. It is available in 10.5º, 12º and 14º

Serene Women’s Fairway Woods

Serene fairway woods (3, 5 and 7) feature a very deep front-to-back top profile design. This design, with a shallow face, helps to positioning the centre of gravity much further back and increases the moment of inertia. So you get a significant improvement in both distance and accuracy. This way it is extremely easy to launch the ball high and with the right amount of spin to maximize carry distance.

Serene shafts for the woods

You have two different shaft options available for the Serene Woods, with Lite and Ultra Lite flexibility. Both shafts feature a high-balance-point technology, which positions the centre of gravity of the club closer to the grip end. This has allowed Ping to lengthen the driver half an inch and make it 45″. To swing a longer golf club with the same swing weight will help you to move the head more quickly and generate faster ball speed, with longer, straighter and more forgiving shots.

Serene Irons & Hybrids

This set combination offers hybrids of 22º, 26º and 30º as an alternative for 4, 5 and 6 irons, with a larger head and more surface area along the clubface –wider in the heel and toe- to ensure a clean contact, with an cambered shape for smooth transition on the grass. Serene irons (5-PW, SW, LW) with perimeter weighting and back flange drive the centre of gravity low and back to make them easy to hit, with a high trajectory. The floating CTP weight in the centre of the cavity creates precise distance control, with a improved energy transfer to give you a faster ball speed and more distance.

Serene Women’s Putters

To improve your putting, the Serene line of putters features a face insert of variable-depth groove technology which, according to Ping’s research, shows a 40 per cent improvement in ball speed consistency across the entire face. You can choose between the Anser 2, B60 and the Shea and Craz-E Too mallets, to find the putter that best suits your style.
