PING – Brooke Henderson, third player in LPGA history to win before 18th birthday
August 19, 2015 – The 17 years old Canadian golfer Brooke Henderson, PING staff player, became only the third player to win before the age of 18 on the LPGA Tour when she earned her first LPGA victory last Sunday by a commanding eight shots at the Cambia Portland Classic.
Aided by long, straight drives with her G30 driver, the Canadian phenom set a tournament scoring record at -21 (66, 67, 65, 69). She is just the second LPGA player ever to Monday qualify and go on to win. She is also qualified for the Evian Championship with the win.
In 18 LPGA events during her career, she has made 15 cuts and posted four Top 10’s, including Top 5 at the U.S. Women’s Open and the PGA Championship this season.
