December 17, 2013 – The official presentation of MadridGOLF 2014, the international golf fair which will celebrate its eighth edition next year, took place yesterday at the Club de Padel La Moraleja.

The important event for amateur and professional golfers will be in the spring, from 20th to 23rd of March 2014, in the IFEMA trade fair area. The change of dates made in the last edition was well received by exhibitors and visitors, and so MadridGOLF will again be a starting point for the tourist season, the introduction of new golf equipment and the start of the high season.

As in previous editions, MadridGOLF will continue to promote golf tourism from its communication platform, so that the best golf destinations and courses can display their main novelties and offers for the new season.

MadridGOLF continues reinventing itself, and a notable development for the next edition is the hosting of the Padel Pro Show 2014, the first padel fair in our country to be held in a trade fair area for the industry and players. Golf and padel will join in the eighth edition of MadridGOLF to attract more visitors, and will also have areas specifically designed for leisure and enjoyment: an Indoor Driving Range, Practice Area for Kids, Putting Green with Putter Fitting, Long Putt, Commercial Area, Main Stage, Golf Schools or the traditional 19th Hole.

Along with Rocio Aguirre, MadridGOLF Director, the event was attended by Luis Garcia, Director of Madison and Paddle Pro Show, Joaquin Castillo, General Director of Madrid Community Tourism Board, Gonzaga Escauriaza, President of the RFEG, and Miguel Medina, President of the Spanish Padel Federation.

In her speech, Rocio Aguirre highlighted the importance for any industry of having a show as a meeting point for the sector, and explained the reasons for bringing together golf and padel at the same trade fair. These are principally because both industries share facilities, brands and players. She also added that in order to improve and innovate each edition, MadridGOLF has decided to partner with Madison to launch the Padel Pro Show, the first show of padel our country.

Luis Garcia pointed out that the Padel Pro Show was created with the intention of being a national and international leader in the professional meetings of the padel industry, and that the association with MadridGOLF is a guarantee of solvency and professionalism.
