Holiday Golf – New distributor for PXG golf clubs in Spain and in some ten European countries
December 11, 2024 – PXG, the prestigious brand of premium golf clubs, recognized worldwide for its advanced technology, the high quality of the materials, its refined manufacturing, its fitting capacity and its victories on Tour, has reached an agreement with Holiday Golf, one of the largest golf equipment distribution companies in Europe, to supply its products in Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Morocco and Tunisia.
“It is exciting for us to be able to have a hardware equipment brand in Holiday Golf, which is something we can incorporate without disturbing any of the other brands we already distribute,” says Stefan Tjellander, CEO and President of Holiday Golf.
“There are actually many brands that have come to offer us their distribution, but in the world of golf there are very few brands available of such a high level. And the only brand at that level that was worth working with was PXG.”
The exciting new operation of Holiday Golf brings to mind the interesting story behind PXG. A project developed by the well-known businessman, visionary and philanthropist Bob Parsons, who made a fortune with the web hosting company GoDaddy, and then sold it for around 3.2 billion dollars to dedicate himself to his great passion, golf.
In September 2013 he founded Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG), with the mission of manufacturing the best golf equipment in the world. To do this he hired the best club designers of the moment, opening their minds under the philosophy of ‘no limit on spending, no limit on time, no limit on quality, no limit on technology’, and regardless of price, so that the same product that the professional player uses can be bought by the amateur golfer, accessing to it only by the fitting.
The result in design and performance was revolutionary, due to its capacity for customization and the extremely high quality of the materials. Positioned as a premium golf brand, it can proudly say: “Nobody makes golf clubs the way we do.”
“In the United States they take the brand directly to the end customer through their PXG Stores, and they have done the same in England. For the rest of Europe, they have chosen another distribution model, and Holiday Golf is the first PXG distributor in the world to adopt this model, being responsible for commercializing the brand in ten European countries: Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Morocco and Tunisia,” continues Stefan Tjellander.
Holiday Golf already has stock of PXG for quick orders, offering irons mounted on uncut shafts, as well as their famous individual clubheads. So the clubfitter in the golf shop or proshop will be the one to fit the heads, the loft angles (up to 4º) and lie, trim the length of the shaft, and set up the grip to suit the player.
An operation that can thus be done in the workshop for the benefit of the customers who prefer to have their golf clubs as soon as possible. The Spanish company will also serve drivers and fairway woods, which do not need so much clubfitting, as they have adjustable technologies. And the wedges will surprise those who has not yet tried them, because they are absolutely extraordinary.
“In this way we are going to offer a service that will allow the golf brand to grow, although we will also have our own specialists to do fittings, demo days, etc. It is a matter of fans understanding how PXG works, so that they begin to benefit from its performance,” continues Stefan Tjellander.
“We already have about eight or ten existing clients in Spain who are still interested in PXG, and now we will look for strong clients in each area. Instead of having ten accounts in one place, we prefer to have one that works well with the golf brand, and we will see how they respond,” he concludes.
PXG has as ambassadors big golf stars, such as Gary Player, Rob Riggle, Darius Rucker or Anna Rawson; PGA Tour pros such as Joel Dahmen, Jake Knapp, Zach Johnson, Eric Cole, David Lipsky, Luke List, Nico Echavarría, Justin Lower, Dylan Wu, Henrik Norlander, Kevin Dougherty, Patrick Fishburn, Scott Gutschewski, Ryan McCormick or Paul Barjon; and LPGA Tour pros such as Celine Boutier, Mina Harigae, Megan Khang, Christina Kim, Katherine Kirk, Britany Lang, Gerina Mendoza, Gina Kim, Linnea Strom, Ellinor Sudow, Auston Kim, Minji Kang or Kaitlin Milligan; plus twenty pros from the Korn Ferry Tour.
