Golf Shafts – KBS celebrates two more victories with Barracuda Championship of PGA Tour and La Sella Open of LET

July 26, 2023 – Last Sunday was another successful journey for KBS golf shafts, with presence in the bags of the winners on the PGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour (LET). On the PGA Tour, Akshay Bhatia won the Barracuda Championship title at Tahoe Mountain Club in Truckee (California, US), while Nuria Iturrioz achieved her fourth LET title by winning the La Sella Open at La Sella Golf, in Alicante (Spain).

Akshay Bhatia, a 21-year-old left-hander player, finished at the top of the table after winning a title by the play-off, that also opens the doors to the PGA Tour 2024. The Callaway Golf staff player has won with the KBS S-Taper 125 S+ shaft in both his Callaway X Forged UT utility (22º) and Callaway Apex TCB (5-PW) irons; and the KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 125 S on his Callaway JAWS Raw wedges (50º, 54º, 60º).

Then, Nuria Iturrioz plays three different models of KBS golf shafts in her bag. The KBS PGI 70 in her TaylorMade Stealth 2 hybrids (3 & 4 ), and the KBS PGI 80 in her Mizuno JPX 921 iron set. The KBS PGI offers the same tight tolerances, dispersion and control as the KBS Tour steel shaft, just at a lighter weight and easier-to-swing shaft. Additionally, she plays the KBS C-Taper 95 on her Titleist Proto wedges.
