September 2, 2016 – The eagerly-awaited Galvin Green 2016 Ryder Cup range have been unveiled and gone on sale from yesterday – giving golfers across Europe the chance to match their outerwear with garments worn by star players defending the famous trophy later this month.

Captain Darren Clarke selected four exclusive lines from the Official Supplier of Weatherwear to the European Ryder Cup Team, including the most advanced GORE-TEX garments incorporating new fabric technology and distinctive style features with Ryder Cup cresting.

RYDER CUP WATERPROOF C-KNIT JACKET

The first is a 3-layer premium waterproof full-zip jacket in stretch GORE-TEX fabric with a revolutionary Japanese-made C-KNIT backer with a supr smooth hand feel. The ultra-lightweight jacket (260 grams) can ‘slide & glide’ easily over garments worn underneath.

RYDER CUP WATERPROOF C-KNIT SHORT SLEEVE JACKET

A short-sleeved version comes with a half-zip, a style that the brand first introduced to golfing waterproofs in 2005. Both jackets carry the European flag on the back neck, plus the official Ryder Cup shield on the left chest (210 grams).

RYDER CUP C-KNIT TROUSERS

Matching waterproof trousers in the same ultra-lightweight stretch GORE-TEX fabric with C-KNIT backer feature two long leg openings with water-repellent zippers at the back, rather than the sides (350 grams).

RYDER CUP GORE WINDSTOPPER

A new Soft Shell 3-layer GORE WINDSTOPPER complements the other garments. The most versatile garment to wear in chilly conditions, the full-zip jacket is totally windproof, water repellent and highly breathable. It also features the European flag on the back neck, plus the official Ryder Cup shield on the left chest.

The new technology featured in these latest garments will form a key part of Galvin Green Part 1 collection in 2017.
