May 27, 2015 – After adding two titles of the European Challenge Tour 2015 schedule in just one month, Nacho Elvira is now the clear leader in the tour ranking of the Road to Oman. The truth is that he is playing well, and is being well supported by his new sponsor Galvin Green, the leading brand in golf technical apparel.

To the first success he achieved at The Foshan Open 2013, the Cantabrian golfer, based in Madrid, has just added his second and third Challenge titles with the Madrid Challenge and now the Austrian Kärnten Golf Open. Although in the 2014 season he made 21 cuts on the European Tour 2014, he has had to take a step down in 2015 from where he is finding new impetus back in Europe’s first division.

That he has virtually reach the target he had set for 2015 at this stage of the season, which is to return to the European Tour, and that Galvin Green decided to sponsor him just before these successes, suggests that Nacho Elvira is on fire!

Here at MyGolfway.com we have interviewed him as the latest witness of the experience of playing in the Tour equipped by these magnificent technical garments for golf, as other Spanish players like Alvaro Velasco, Carlos Pigem and Mireia Prat have been for some time.

MYGOLFWAY: Do you think Galvin Green is one of the best-valued technical clothing brands in the Tour?

NACHO ELVIRA: I completely agree. Apart from offering sets of clothes in great colours, it’s the best quality I’ve ever had. And especially for its variety, as for hot days you have a finer fabric, and for cooler days the fabric is a little thicker. So the quality and design are very good.

MGW: Not many professional players are sponsored by Galvin Green on the Tour. Do you feel privileged?

NE: Of course, I feel privileged to be fortunate to wear such stylish and beautiful garments.

MGW: Why do you think Galvin Green picked you?

NE: Well, I guess I must be more or less a good player, ha, ha. Anyway, I hope that as I’m now playing the Challenge Tour, and few events of the European Tour, I give a good image to the brand.

MGW: What gives you a competitive advantage over your rivals with Galvin Green?

NE: Benefits… is difficult to say, but certainly the fact that you go out to the course with the confidence that you are well dressed is an extra, of course.

MGW: What qualities of Galvin Green garments would you highlight?

NE: The summer clothes are highly breathable, and the winter clothes are spectacular. Its wonderful clothing, with which you don’t get even a hint of cold, and you are also able to make a perfectly comfortable swing.

MGW: What are the garments that you use most in tournaments?

NE: The Ventil8 polo shirts and pants. And then, there’s the Insula jacket that I love, because when it’s cool it keeps you warm and lets you swing in perfect comfort.

MGW: You also have the ARON rain jacket with Gore-Tex Paclite technology, which you’ve had the chance to try.

NE: Well, I used for the first time at the Madeira Islands Open, in Portugal, over the Insula jacket and the Skintight base layer. I put it on top of the rest because it was extremely cold, and I have to say that it was fantastic. The bad weather meant that the tournament was cancelled, but equipped like that, I could have played every hole perfectly, ha, ha.

MGW: From the entire 2015 collection you have, what is the garment that you like most?

NE: It is a difficult question to answer… I like it all, really. What’s more, sometimes I find it difficult to decide what to wear in the morning, because I like everything. I try to combine what is best all the time. But if I had to choose a single garment, well, when the weather is a little fresh, it’d be the Insula jacket.

MGW: And your favourite colour?

NE: The green… For example, I really like the combination of green pants and white polo.
