Cleveland Golf – Soren Kjeldsen, the secrets of a short game master on the European Tour
March 9, 2016 – The Danish player Soren Kjeldsen, Ambassador of Srixon – Cleveland Golf, is recognized as a master of the short game on the European Tour. But what are his secrets?
Reviewing his history, he highlights his four tour wins: The Diageo Championship 2003, Volvo Masters 2008, Open de Andalucia 2009, and most recently the 2015 Irish Open.
The latter showed that Soren Kjeldsen has regained his form after a few weaker years. And in his golf bag today, he also has three Cleveland Golf RTX 2.0 wedges: the 52ºMB, 54ºMB (blended to 55º) and 60ºLB. As he explains:
SOREN KJELDSEN DISCUSSES HIS WEDGE SET MAKE UPSøren Kjeldsen tees it up this week at the Cadillac Championship Trump National Doral Miami and just for you here are some thoughts on what he is looking for from his Cleveland Golf wedges to make the most of his game. This demanding layout will certainly require the players to bring their best short game skills this week and Soren is one of the best in the game at this area of the game. #OWN125 #ClevelandGolf

The first thing he looks for is to have the right gaps of distance between his wedges, without any big gaps when he needs to hit a really hard stroke. And then obviously perfect bounces. For example, hitting from the sand you need a lot of bounce in the 60º.
It is a very personal matter, so it is better to feel the bounce on the sand, on the fairway… in different lies. So you can find out how much bounce you need or not. Kjeldsen considers that the RTX 2.0 are the best wedges there are.
WHY WEDGE FITTING IS ESSENTIALIs it important to get fitted for your wedges? Of course it is and here Cleveland Golf staff player Søren Kjeldsen tells you exactly why. To make sure you #Own125 like Soren make sure you visit your local Cleveland Golf stockist

In addition, Soren Kjeldsen recommends golfers to get fitted for their wedges. Why? Because, as the Danish player says, however well you swing it, if the degrees of loft and / or bounce are not right, the result will not be what you want. Your wedge can be good out on the fairway but you might not be able to use it from the bunker, and vice versa…
It’s worth having the wedges that work with you. To be sure that your choice and configuration of wedges is correct, Cleveland Golf has introduced the Cleveland Wedge Analyzer system in the local golf shops, which captures your swing and tells you precisely what the bounce and the grind of the sole of the wedges are ideal for you.
