BGA – Barcelona Golf Academy opens registration for its 2026-2027 programmes

Barcelona Golf Academy has opened registration for the 2026-2027 season, with four programmes – Junior BGA FLEX, BGA ADVANCE, BGA ÉLITE TRACK and BGA ÉLITE. Four tailored training and development pathways designed to support every player’s progression, from flexible coaching for all levels to a comprehensive high-performance programme.
September 4, 2026 – The 2026-2027 season is now underway at Barcelona Golf Academy, with registration open for its range of training programmes. The academy’s structure is designed to provide every player with the right environment, level of commitment and degree of support according to their goals, dedication and sporting potential.

The new season’s offering is built around four programmes: BGA FLEX, BGA ADVANCE, BGA ÉLITE TRACK and BGA ÉLITE. Together, they provide a progressive pathway for golfers to develop their game, combining technical coaching, skills development, on-course training, physical preparation and individualised monitoring.
Alongside its multidisciplinary coaching team, technology and support services, the academy’s approach is also underpinned by Gamyplan, a specialised platform that acts as the analytical hub for each player’s individual development. It enables the coaching team to coordinate training, analyse progress and adapt the programme to the specific needs of every student.
BGA FLEX: flexible training, on your terms

The BGA FLEX Programme is designed for players of all levels who want the freedom to train around their own schedule. Flexibility is at the heart of the programme: each student can choose the days and times that best suit them and combine sessions to create their own personalised training plan.
Players can decide how many hours they want to train each week while still benefiting from a comprehensive approach covering all areas of the game. Sessions include technical coaching, skills development and competition preparation, with groups formed according to the four factors that underpin the academy’s model: level, age, commitment and social affinity.
Groups are limited to a maximum of 12 players, and all students have on-course training sessions throughout the season. These sessions will primarily take place in the afternoons and will be scheduled according to the needs of the players and the stage of the season.
The programme also includes assessments at the beginning and end of the season, together with ongoing monitoring throughout the year. This allows the academy to support each player’s development and help them continue to improve their game.
BGA ADVANCE: train to take the next step

For players looking for greater consistency and a more structured approach to their development, Barcelona Golf Academy offers the BGA ADVANCE Programme. It is designed for golfers who want to improve their performance through a more organised and personalised training programme.
The programme combines technical coaching, skills development, on-course play and physical preparation within a balanced weekly schedule. Training is also informed by competition statistics, allowing the coaching team to respond to each player’s progress and focus on the areas where further improvement is required.
Training takes place in small groups of between 4 and 8 players per coach, allowing for close individual attention. The programme comprises five hours of training per week, spread across Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:30.
Mondays feature two and a half hours of golf training, focusing on technical development and skills across the different areas of the game. On Wednesdays, players combine one and a half hours of golf with one hour of physical preparation in the gym.
During the final hour of the Wednesday session, from 19:30 to 20:30, the group is split into two. Four players work with the physical trainer in the gym, while the other four continue with the golf coach, focusing on the specific technical areas where each player needs the most attention. The groups alternate the following week.
The programme also includes on-course training days. During the summer, some sessions will move onto the course, allowing players to transfer their training into real playing situations. In winter, when reduced daylight makes this difficult within the normal timetable, selected sessions will be moved to Saturdays as part of a pre-planned schedule, while taking care to avoid clashes with major tournaments.
BGA ÉLITE TRACK: more training, more individual attention

The BGA ÉLITE TRACK is the stepping stone towards the Élite Programme. It is designed as an adaptation and preparation phase for players who are ready to increase their commitment to training and raise their performance goals.
The programme combines technical coaching, physical preparation, on-course training and a greater degree of individualised monitoring, preparing players to take the next step within Barcelona Golf Academy.
Training takes place in groups of no more than 6 players per coach, providing the opportunity for more detailed technical monitoring and allowing the programme to be tailored more precisely to the individual needs of each golfer.
The weekly schedule comprises 7.5 hours of training, spread across Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:30. Each session includes two and a half hours of golf training, focusing on technical development and skills across the different areas of the game.
Physical preparation takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays. The group is divided into two teams of three players: one team works in the gym on Monday and the other on Tuesday. While three students complete their physical training with the trainer, the other three continue working with the golf coach, allowing for much more specific and personalised technical coaching.
As with the academy’s other advanced training programmes, on-course training days will be scheduled during the summer, giving players the opportunity to put their training into practice in real playing situations. In winter, selected sessions will be moved to Saturdays as part of the advance planning, making the most of the available daylight and avoiding clashes with the most important competitions.
BGA ÉLITE: the ultimate high-performance programme

At the top of Barcelona Golf Academy’s pathway is the BGA ÉLITE Programme, its most advanced and premium high-performance offering. It is designed for committed players with significant potential who are looking for a comprehensive, high-level programme focused on both sporting and personal development.
This is the academy’s most complete experience, combining technical coaching, on-course training, physical preparation, individualised monitoring and the support of a multidisciplinary team.
The programme is supported by Gamyplan as the analytical hub for individual player monitoring and provides an exclusive training environment, with a maximum of 4 players per coach. This 1:4 ratio allows the coaching team to provide close, highly personalised support, with training plans tailored to each student’s individual needs and objectives.
The programme includes academic studies in the mornings at Agora International School Barcelona, while golf training takes place from Tuesday to Friday, from 14:30 to 19:30, for a total of 20 hours per week. Organised transport between the school and the Golf Club is also included.
The high-performance programme includes specific physical preparation, sports psychology, physiotherapy and injury prevention, together with dietitian support and sports nutrition. From a sporting perspective, players benefit from competition planning, statistical analysis of their game, technical and performance monitoring, course-management and strategy work, recovery protocols, and the development of competitive habits and mindset.
Included services include unlimited practice balls, gym access, physiotherapy and nutrition support, Junior Golf Tour Golf Barcelona, access to the club’s summer swimming pool and gym, and a complete sports kit.
Players also have access to specialist technology, including TrackMan, BodiTrack, V1 Pro and GolfBioDynamics (Dr Robert Neal), as part of a training model built around detailed analysis and continuous monitoring.
The BGA ÉLITE Programme also gives players access to the other programmes offered by Barcelona Golf Academy. The academy also organises trips to WAGR tournaments, Easter and Summer camps, as well as the BGA transfer service from Sarrià, Barcelona, to Barcelona Golf Club.
