June 13, 2016 – Daniel Berger won the FedEx St. Jude Classic on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title, shooting a 3-under 67 to hold off Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker and Brooks Koepka by three strokes.

After switching into both TaylorMade M2 driver and fairway, reigning PGA Tour ‘Rookie of the Year’ Daniel Berger powered through the field in Memphis, claiming his first victory on Tour and now enters the U.S. Open in optimal form.

“It’s the greatest feeling,” Daniel Berger said. “You work so hard to get here and to finally be able to put the trophy up, there’s no way I can describe it.”

The win is the first on the PGA Tour for the 2014-15 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Berger is the second youngest player to win the FedEx St. Jude Classic at the age of 23 and the youngest since 1968. His win is projected to move him from 50th to 14th in the FedExCup point standings.
