Crest Link – Great impact of the brand in Europe through the Spanish Open 2015
May 24, 2015 – Crest Link, the official clothing of the Spanish Open 2015, has valued positively its involvement in the organization of the event, and considers that it has achieved the widest brand exposure in Europe since its introduction in our market.
The leading golf clothing brand in Asia, which already showed its credentials in the co-sanctioned Maybank Malaysian Open earlier in the year, made a great display during the week of the Spanish Open at RCG El Prat (Barcelona). Its presence was multiplied on several fronts, especially the dressing of the organization and volunteer staff, some 500 people, with more than 1,200 garments by Crest Link, highlighting the personalised polo shirts and caps with logos of the brand and the event itself.
The volunteers figured as the main reference of the Spanish Open 2015, being visible at all times around the competition itself, as markers, marshals, car courtesy drivers, especially on the course and on television. The final photo of the volunteers dressed with Crest Link surrounding the champion, the Englishman James Morrison, on the European Tour website has had a big impact.
The organization and volunteers were able to feel the quality of the Crest Link microfiber polo shirts which, thanks to the transpiration properties, are very suitable for the hot weather during the competition at the RCG El Prat.
And at competition level, Crest Link also had a notable presence, with four players on the field: the Englishman Jason Palmer, the Frenchman Cyril Bouniol, and the Irish players Peter Lawrie and Damien McGrane.
In addition, on television, it is estimated that the signal of the Spanish Open reached 400 million households worldwide, 55 million of them in Europe. There were also Crest Link sponsor boards positioned on different tees and greens around the golf course, as one of the main sponsors of the event, which also were broadcast on TV.
The official Crest Link store positioned in the tournament village was busy every day, with a large exhibition of products such as polo shirts, caps, trousers and accessories of the brand, most of them personalised with the logo of the Spanish Open.
Leading the Crest Link operations at RCG El Prat were Raymond K.S. Yee, CEO of the company, who came expressly from Kuala Lumpur, and Chris Duffy, head of distribution Crest Link for Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
“We are very pleased with the exposure of the brand in this event of the European Tour,” said Chris Duffy at the end of the tournament. “I think we’ve taken the opportunity to get known even more in this market, where in fact we are still young. This is our second year and we are still in the introduction stage. We have certainly contributed again to the success of the tournament, now in El Prat, just as we did in the Spanish Open 2014 held at PGA Catalunya”.
