Tiger Woods’ son, winner of the 2025 AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational, strengthens his relationship with the brand ahead of his move into college golf.

September 5, 2026 – Charlie Woods is taking another step in his still short, but increasingly relevant, career as an amateur golfer. The son of Tiger Woods has officially joined TaylorMade Golf’s roster of players through a NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) agreement, which will allow him to represent the brand during the final stage of his junior career and as he makes the transition into college golf.

The signing of the agreement comes at a particularly significant moment for the 17-year-old Woods. The player is entering his final year at The Benjamin School, in North Palm Beach, Florida, before joining the Florida State University golf team in 2027, where he will share the team with other leading amateur players, including Miles Russell, No. 5 in the WAGR.

The agreement with TaylorMade also formalises a relationship that was already evident in his golf bag. Woods currently plays with an almost entirely TaylorMade set-up: Qi4D driver and fairway woods, P·7CB and P·7TW irons, MG5wedges and the TP5x golf ball.

A relationship that goes back a long way

TaylorMade’s choice comes as no surprise. In 2025, Woods claimed the first major victory of his AJGA career, precisely at the Team TaylorMade Invitational, played at Streamsong’s Black Course.

That victory came by a three-shot margin over a strong field that included four of the five highest-ranked AJGA players at the time.

Since then, the young Woods has continued to gain experience at the leading stages of U.S. junior golf. He finished inside the Top 10 at the 2025 Boys Junior PGA Championship and inside the Top 20 at the Rolex Tournament of Champions, as well as qualifying for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship for the third consecutive year, including the 2026 edition at Saucon Valley Country Club.

He has also contributed to The Benjamin School’s success, being part of the teams that won the 2023 and 2025 Florida state team championships. In the final round of 2025, he also carded a 66 (-4), tying for the lowest round of the day.

A debut with a 71 at TPC Sawgrass

The announcement of the agreement comes as Woods competes this week in the Junior PLAYERS Championship, at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. And he has made a good start: a 71 (-1) in the opening round, with five birdies and four bogeys, which put him in a tie for ninth place, four shots behind leader Chase Bauer.

The round also had a symbolic element. Woods recorded his best competitive result at this course, where his father won The Players Championship twice, in 2001 and 2013.

The new agreement therefore places Charlie Woods within a TaylorMade structure that combines established stars of professional golf with some of the leading amateur and college talents. They include Miles Russell, Woods’ future teammate at Florida State, U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Asterisk Talley, and NCAA team champion Logan Reilly.

Beyond the Woods surname, TaylorMade is thus adding one of the young names with the greatest media potential in U.S. golf. His next major objective, however, is already defined: complete his junior career and prepare for his arrival in college golf in 2027.
