November 29, 2024 – After a month of rumours, and three months before the dates, the organizers Grupo Pacifico and CM Golf have announced, with great regret, the cancellation of the International Golf Meeting 2025 (IGM’25) show, which was scheduled to be held from 23th to 26th of February at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA).

The statement issued today said: “Despite the effort and dedication invested in creating this new business opportunity for the golf industry, we regret to inform that we are unable to move forward with this initiative.”

We regret to note that at this time, part of the industry has not identified this initiative “as a key tool for its growth and development.”

“We want to express our gratitude to the institutions, companies, and professionals who believed in this proposal and offered their support. Despite this decision, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting golf as a sport and an economic driver, as well as to attracting initiatives that position Málaga and southern Europe as leading tourist destinations.”

“We will continue working to find new ways and opportunities to boost the industry and the region, trusting that the future will bring stronger collaborative efforts for everyone.”

The organization has already begun to notify the companies in the sector that had committed to process the cancellation of their bookings.

IGM Málaga 2025 had the institutional support of the Junta de Andalucía, Diputación Provincial de Málaga and Ayuntamiento de Málaga, and the collaboration of the main  golf organizations like: Asociación Española de Campos de Golf, PGA de España, Real Federación Española de Golf, Real Federación Andaluza de Golf, Asociación Española de Gerentes de Golf and Asociación Española de Greenkeepers.
