Fujikura Golf – Snedeker used Fujikura Speeder 661 X in his winner driver
February 19, 2015 – Another weekend of around the world golf champions with one thing in common. Fujikura golf shafts have been the secret weapon of professional golfers for decades, so it wasn’t surprising to see the PGA AT&T Pebble Beach champion, Brandt Snedeker, and European Tour True Thailand Classic winner, Andrew Dodt, both using Fujikura shafts.
There was quite the conversation sparked when Golf Digest Magazine published the headline “Winners Bag: Brandt Snedeker just won at Pebble Beach using a driver worth $20”. Conversations remained very active throughout the weekend and all day Monday while passionate golfers took the opportunity to chime in on the subject. Many supported the fact that good players can play almost any piece of equipment and still live up to the expectations of fans. But, there was more conversation than ever before surrounding how important the shaft is to the performance of the golf club.
Fujikura golf shafts have been the trusted and preferred golf shaft amongst the better players for decades. In this instance, Brandt Snedeker was using a Fujikura Speeder 661 X flex in his TaylorMade SuperFast driver.
“We’re thrilled by these wins because these professionals continue to demonstrate their confidence in Fujikura shafts to perform in premier events,” says Stephanie Hartgraves, Marketing Manager of Fujikura. “It’s so exciting to see these talented players depend on us and the advanced technology, materials and designs we work so hard on day in and day out.”
“This is another excellent week for our brand and team,” says David Schnider, President/COO of Fujikura. “These accomplishments help validate our mission, which is and always has been to simply create superior performance golf shafts.”
The new Speeder series is all about increasing ball speed, which in return increases distance. In a competitive scenario, a couple MPH, a couple more yards and some enhanced accuracy can mean win the game.
