April 5th, 2012 – Callaway Golf has announced that the European Tour’s bigger hitter, Spaniard Alvaro Quiros, has extended his relationship with the company and will continue to globally represent the brand as one of its top-to-toe Staff Professionals.

Quiros (28), currently 21º in the official World Rankings, is one of golf’s longest hitters and has topped the European Tour’s Driving Distance rankings in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011, where he averaged nearly 313 yards off the tee.

He has also won a tournament every year since 2007, including last year when he clinched the prestigious Omega Dubai Desert Classic, which he defends next month, and the Dubai World Championship.

After being introduced to the game by his father when he was just nine-years-old, Quiros has grown into one of Europe’s finest golfers. At just 18 he was playing off +1 and then finally turned pro in 2004 where he has gone on to become hugely popular with both the crowds that follow him on the golf course, and among his fellow professionals.

Commenting on extending his relationship with Callaway, Alvaro Quiros said: “I didn’t have to think too hard about re-signing with Callaway. I feel like one of the family and I’m confident its 2012 product range will help me achieve even greater things this season.”

The 6ft 3in star has already tasted success with one of Callaway’s headline products for 2012. He won the 2011 season finale Dubai World Championship using the new RAZR Fit Driver, the company’s first fully adjustable driver.
