August 25, 2014 – Here is a first look at the latest offering for elite golfers who like blade irons, and players who can benefit from a high technology utility iron. Callaway Golf has announced the Apex Muscleback Irons.

And they have arisen because the Tour staff players asked for a classic muscleback design. The Apex MB Irons are classically crafted, Tour inspired, premium forged blades with playability, and they’re a great choice for elite, low handicap golfers.

They’re premium forged designs that Callaway says give players the shot-making precision they expect from a blade, along with the softest feel, optimized turf interaction and even playability.

They have Tour validated shape, with high performance grooves (the same wide spaced grooves use on Apex Pro Irons), into the Forged Design (made from 1020 Carbon Steel for the softest feel), and with the optimized sole camber.

This set of irons can only be ordered online, from 12th of September onwards, and comes standard in a 2-PW setup, with customized steel shaft (KBS Tour-V) and grip.
