June 7, 2014 – In its first international retail offering, American luxury apparel brand Peter Millar has drawn upon its golf heritage to open a premiere shopping experience in the five red star Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa at St. Andrews Links in Scotland.

The newly refurbished space opened on 1st of June and features a specially merchandised selection from the Peter Millar Collection, including casual sportswear, shoes and accessories. The store also showcases the brand’s new, finely-crafted Pick Stitch Collection that features elevated sartorial looks. Peter Millar logo product is available at Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa’s pro shop and through five shops managed by the St. Andrews Trust.

Designated “the home of golf”, St. Andrews Links offers world-famous courses where the game has been played for over 600 years. The Old Course, one of seven public golf courses at St. Andrews Links, is widely considered to be the oldest and most iconic course in the world. A popular hub for golf tourism, over 220,000 rounds of golf are played on the seven courses each year with an estimated 46,000 rounds played annually on The Old Course alone. The Open Championship has been played on The Old Course 28 times, and the 2015 Open Championship will return to St. Andrews Links.

The retail store at St. Andrews marks the third brick-and-mortar retail location for Peter Millar, alongside stores in Southampton, N.Y. and Palm Beach, Fla.
