May 8, 2014 – The second event of the 2014 Pro Tour Catalunya, the tour of the Catalunya PGA (Associació de Professionals de Golf de Catalunya) was held on Tuesday 6th of May at Vilalba Golf, with a victory for Ivó Giner.

Over 40 golfers, all professionals plus four amateurs, played this tournament in which Ivó Giner, a CG Sant Cugat player, scored the best card with 68 strokes. The round was exciting through to the end because Joaquín Sierra teed off in the third group of the morning and carded 69 shots, finishing runner-up. Álvaro Oleart finished third with 70 shots having started at the back of the fourth group, while Ivo Giner closed the event playing at the last group of the day.

In a second group, the forth place tied went to Marc Pérez and Sergio González with 71 shots, and in the sixth came Juan Luis Sánchez, Manel Pérez and Joan Bronchales (in the picture) with 72 shots. The first tournament of the tour was held at the Metropolitan Golf Barcelona, and was won by Toni Enciso.

‘Second Training Day’: Putting Clinic with Geoff Mangum

Catalunya PGA has also organized the second Training Day of the association, with the putting clinic with Geoff Mangum, which will be held on Tuesday 13th of May at the Club de Golf Sant Cugat. Registration is open (more information at Carlos Vivas: tel. 695 675 006).
