December 2, 2013 – The 2013 Spanish Professional Championships, which finished on Sunday in the Extremadura golf course of Talayuela Golf (Cáceres), was decided in a dramatic play-off between Xavier Guzmán (Callaway Golf) and Pol Bech (Ping).

The victory went to Xavier Guzmán (playing a Callaway X-Hot driver), with a birdie on the second hole of the play-off after finishing tied at 284 shots with Pol Bech (Ping G25 driver). However, the final round was full of alternatives to win with Carlos Rodiles (driver TaylorMade Burner SuperFast), third one shot behind, José Luis Adarraga (TaylorMade R11S driver), fourth with two shots more, and Jordi Garcia del Moral (TaylorMade R1 driver) and Santi Luna (Callaway FT-3 driver), both fifth with three shots of difference. Behind them were seventh Alfredo Garcia Heredia (TaylorMade R1 driver) and Agustin Domingo (TaylorMade SLDR driver) with 288 shots.
