February 16, 2026 – Collin Morikawa returns to the winner’s circle behind a precision-led weekend performance at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Collin posted scores of 69, 68, 62 and 67 to win by one-shot. The win marks his seventh PGA Tour title.

Prior to the start of the tournament, the Team TaylorMade player switched to from the new TP5 golf ball to TP5x. During testing this week with TaylorMade Tour Reps, Morikawa found that TP5x provided enhanced spin and flight consistency. Both balls produced stability in the wind at Pebble Beach during practice rounds, but ultimately he opted to play TP5x for its ability to cut more consistently on command.

With the all-new Microcoating technology in both TP5 and TP5x, Collin noticed a ball flight that remains tight in the wind – meaning it doesn’t knuckle or lose predictability. The ball still allows him to play the wind, rather than eliminating it entirely, which is critical for elite shot-making.

The proof is in the pudding as Morikawa finished first in Strokes Gained Approach (9.608) and second in Greens in Regulation (60-for-72) for the tournament. In the third round, Collin went 18-for-18 in GIR with his TP5x and P·Series irons.

“The spin numbers are really consistent. It flies better in the wind and has better distance control — and that’s everything in our game,” said Collin Morikawa on his TP5x golf ball.

Abous his new Qi4D LS Driver: “The biggest thing that I think I’ve been always looking for is launch. I swing it pretty level to one or two up when I’m really swinging up on it. And for me at my swing speed, it wasn’t launching the ball as much as I would like. Being able to use my eight-degree head and add a little bit of loft and see the face more allows me to just kind of swing it naturally. It’s been launching exactly how I want. That just gives me a little more freedom out on the course.”

A more balanced weight set up: “It’s so interesting. I always used to think I had to put a lot of weight in the toe to get it to cut and make sure it’s very fade bias, but I think it’s very balanced which allows me to hit the straight ball, but it also allows me to hit my natural shot shape and not have it go left. When you have that with a driver, it’s a lot of freedom. And I’m going to keep saying that word, but it allows you just to go out and swing and trust that the head’s going to do what you hope it does.”

About his new Qi4D Tour 3-wood: “I’m really happy with this new three-wood. I know the guys have put in a lot of work into finding me a three-wood. Look, I’m very different because I want it to go as far as it can. I want it to knuckle. I play it pretty low spin.”

“I like to test three woods at around 2,900 RPM which is rare for a lot of guys, but just knowing the shots I want to hit. If I can have it at 2900, I can also hit the spinny cut at 3,400 and take 10 yards off. So, I’ve found that little balance in a three-wood and this one similar to the driver…I’ve been able to find it slightly higher on the face and it’s been able to launch. And for me, that’s all I could ask for.”

The switch to Spider Tour X putter: The backstory on Collin’s winning wand. Collin has played Spider Tour X in the past, including towards the end of 2025. So, when he saw one of his friends at home in Las Vegas playing with a Spider Tour X flow neck with a “Back T” alignment aid he was intrigued. Collin rolled it, asked the borrow it and played it for the first time at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

The Spider Tour X shape is a middle ground between the Spider ZT he played at the Sony Open and the blade shape he played for most of his career. The stability of Spider plus added consistency in set up was a perfect pairing with the flow neck hosel. The flow neck allows him to feel more of a release than the L-neck he previously played. In the final round, Collin gained 1.621 strokes putting.
