April 11, 2013 – The TaylorMade Performance Lab (TMPL) opened its doors on March 4th in Golf Santander (Madrid, Spain). This is a centre that offers golf players, whether professionals, low handicaps or medium-high handicaps, a premium and customized advisory service with the high technology of the MATT System, which makes you feel like a pro as you custom-fit your equipment.

As a launch promotion, the TMPL proposes that you make your booking before next Sunday, April 14th, mentioning ‘MADRID GS’ as you reserve, to get a 20% discount on your fitting. And if, after your fitting, you buy the golf clubs in the pro shop, you will get free green fees to play at Golf Santander.

“What we do in the TMPL is to guide the player through the custom fitting with the ultimate technology, computerized, using the motion capture system in 3D with a number of high speed cameras connected to the MATT System software”, says José Enrique Ruiz-Giménez, the head professional of the centre.

“What we want is that the golfer has the best equipment. We adjust the golf clubs to the golfer’s swing, without going into their technique, because for this matter they already have an instructor or golf school.”

How does TMPL it works?

You make the booking, you go to the centre and you receive a complete exclusive fitting, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which will include all the golf clubs in your bag from your driver through to your putter. If they see that you already have the appropriate equipment to you, they will tell you and that’s it. And if they see that improvement can be made so that you have the appropriate club heads, shafts, length, grips, loft and/or lie, they will suggest the TalyorMade club models that fit to with your specifications, without commitment to purchase.

The complete fitting, which costs €190, takes two and a half hours during which you put on a special suit with markers to capture the motion of the swing. If you book a launch monitor session to improve the driver or the set of irons, it will take an hour and cost €90.

Located on the facilities of Golf Santander, just above the Jim McLean Golf School, this is the only TaylorMade Performance Lab is in Spain with the full MATT System technology and a comprehensive advisory service (there are only 5 in Europe like that). The centre will be officially inaugurated after the Spanish Open in El Saler (Valencia), on Monday April 22nd, with the confirmed presence of Sergio Garcia as a member of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf staff.
