November 1, 2011 – FootJoy has introduced their new Xtreme Platform Stability, which was presented directly to MyGolfWay.com in the London Golf Club past September. FootJoy’s R&D team has successfully engineered a product that will supplant the ultra-stable SYNR-G as the best-in-class stability product in golf, but also has durability and flexibility. Aggressive, maximum surface area coverage promotes extended ground contact at point of impact thus delivering industry-leading stability benefits.

Zach Johnson and Padraig Harrington have been the first ones to test the XPS-1 on Tour, and they are very impressed with the new FootJoy shoes. Then came to the feet of Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Matteo Manassero.

The XPS-1 is a very classy-looking shoe, but as you’d expect from FootJoy there’s far more to it than aesthetics. The shoes employ an innovative XtremeOutsole design which features TPU lateral side outriggers that deliver a very wide platform under foot for more contact and ground reaction. This enhanced stability gives golfers greater confidence, regardless of terrain or weather conditions. Their superior comfort comes from the Visco-elastic 3D GelCollar technology and the innovative 3D MoldedGel, that provides a custom fit element to the product.
