February 26, 2024 – Team TaylorMade‘s Scottie Scheffler takes you through his unique driver swing with the new Qi10 Driver. His swing has been talked about a lot over the past few years as he’s made his rise to the World No.1 and mostly, it’s because of his feet. Swinging your swing is a big part of his philosophy but he also knows it’s all about the fundamentals. Hear him take you through how he swings his Qi10 Driver.
Por REDACCIÓNSCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: “Today I’m going to detail my driver swing.”
“I try not to over complicate thing for myself. So, first things first, I always like to just have a solid base in the setup.”
“I think as some of you all can tell if you have seen my swing before. It’s not very orthodox, I would say, and so swinging your swing is an important part of the game, but having good fundamentals is also extremely important so, make sure my grip’s on correct.”
“I say solid base, probably on a driver I’m going to be a little wider than I would be if it was a shorter club, let’s say a 7 iron or pitching wedge, something like that.”
“I probably get a little narrower as the club gets shorter and shorter. But for the driver, good nice wide base a little bit more than shoulder width.”
“The thing I want to feel here which I don’t feel as much on the other shots that I hit. The driver is a special case. I try to make sure that my body almost has a touch of a tilt in it, so I take my hip like I’m standing straight. I’ll take the hip and bump it a little bit this way just because with a 7 iron you know I’m hitting down into the ball whereas a driver I’m almost hitting up on it, and then from there, good fundamentals and then like I said just trying swing my swing.”
