Zest.Golf – Partnership with ‘La Rioja Golf y Vino’ destination to launch new golf passport
November 28, 2023 – Zest.Golf has announced the launch of its third online digital golf passport in partnership with the renowned La Rioja region. Famous for its world-class wines and cuisine, destination in La Rioja Golf y Vino is now bookable in one online passport with choices including all four area golf courses: Campo de Golf de Logroño, Sojuela, Rioja Alta and Izki Golf.
“We are extremely excited to partner with another destination to drive regional tourism and golf via our Passport,” said Oliver Dury, Executive Director of Zest. “Visitors can now book round bundles of 2, 3 and 4 courses easily in real time when building their La Rioja getaways.”
La Rioja was voted ‘Undiscovered Golf Destination’ by IAGTO members and has established itself as a worthy alternative for golfers looking for gastronomy, wine, culture and excellent nightlife.
“We want to show the world that our region is a great alternative to consider for your next golfing trip and enjoy everything that comes with La Rioja,” commented David Bedia, Director of Campo de Golf de Logroño and board member of the La Rioja Golf y Vino Association.
“We know we are a niche destination, and we have serious credentials when it comes to gastronomy, wine and also golf. The Spanish Professionals Championship is a regular recurring event at Logroño GC and attended by Jose Maria Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez. Izki was designed by the great Seve Ballesteros and is undoubtedly one of his best. Sojuela and Rioja Alta all provide a different experience making our region diverse.”
Zest’s golf passport is available for multi-course packaging and is designed to help regions easily promote their golf offerings online.
Jo Maes, Zest Commercial Director, added: “Our passport is really gaining traction with regional tourism boards, first with Visit Cascais and then Barcelona Golf Destination, and now we’ve added the premier region of La Rioja. We’re excited to play a part in growing tourism and bringing more value to these regions.”
The Zest passport provides golfers and distribution channels the ability to create and book different combinations of golf courses in one transaction. Supported by the Zest Payment Solution powered by Stripe Connect, this proprietary technology automatically reserves tee times and collects and distributes payments between golf courses, without monies being touched by Zest, for reliable and frictionless efficiency for consumers and businesses.
