GOLF BALL GUIDE 2019 – All HONMA Golf range, with the FUTURE XX, the only six-piece golf ball

May 15, 2019 – Honma Golf, the luxury Japanese brand known for the quality of its high-end golf equipment, has introduced in 2019 a completely renewed range of multilayer golf balls, including a new 6-piece premium golf ball as the most sophisticated model and the only one of its kind in the market.

The new 6-piece FUTURE XX golf ball, which we featured a few weeks ago, joins the new 3-piece TW-X and D1 Plus, plus the 2-piece D1 model in various colour options, with recommended prices ranging from 16,95€ to 59,95€ per dozen.

HONMA GOLF FUTURE XX

The Honma FUTURE XX 6-piece ball has been developed to provide golfers with more distance and spin than ever before. The first three layers incorporate a highly resistant core, suitable for varying swing speeds; a soft second layer and a slightly firmer third layer, designed to emit high levels of energy for faster ball speeds, which help to deliver greater distance.

The fourth and fifth layers become gradually firmer, providing a consistent spin performance; whilst the outer sixth layer with a soft urethane cover produces high levels of short-game spin and an improved feel. The 326-dimple pattern on the FUTURE XX ball is designed to deliver a towering flight trajectory.

HONMA GOLF TW-X

The Honma TW-X is a 3-piece urethane distance and spin ball, aimed at golfers with swing speeds of around 90mph. The high-performance ball offers these players improved feel and extraordinary distance.

The TW-X ball features a high initial speed core, designed to generate greater ball speeds as well as exceptional control. A newly-developed high repulsion mid-layer ensures low spin off the face of the driver for extra distance from the tee.

The soft urethane cover also provides an extreme spin on greenside strokes, so the golfer can fully commit with confidence to demanding shots towards the pin. The 326-dimple pattern design provides the highly desirable low penetrating ball flight, which is ideal in windy conditions.

HONMA GOLF D1 PLUS

The Honma D1 Plus ball is another 3-piece model that is suitable for all swing speeds. It features an energy-emitting core that acts like a ‘spring-rubber’ that delivers outstanding levels of additional distance.

The hybrid ionomer mantle which forms the soft mid-layer of the D1 Plus offers impressive spin performance, while the soft ionomer cover offers improved feel with added distance. The 368-dimple pattern produces a strong and stable ball flight trajectory. It is available in white or in dozens, combining 4 colours (white, yellow, orange and pink).

HONMA GOLF D1

The 2-piece D1 is the simplest Honma ball, but that doesn’t mean lower quality. It is designed for golfers looking to gain as much carry distance as possible. Featuring a spring effect from the high repulsion core, and thanks to its 368-dimple pattern, the ball is specially designed to soar in the air with minimal resistance, making it exceptionally long. It is available in white or in dozens combining 4 colours (green, yellow, orange and pink).
