Its designer is none other than Dieter Kasprzak, CEO of Ecco, who tells us why such a valuable and unique shoe has been made:

“The Premium 109 Collection is not for everyone,” continues Dieter Kasprzak. “The idea is to make a very limited edition every year. So, for example, we produced 109 pairs the first year, which refers to the year 2009. The following year we made an edition of 110 pairs, and so on.”

Behind this exclusive and limited edition are premium materials of the highest quality, advanced technology, and great care in the confection of every pair of shoes. Dieter Kasprzak himself personally visited the farm in Thailand where the crocodile skins destined for shoes are produced, to ensure the quality. Then he spent many hours adjusting the design to reach perfection. “This has been a very pleasurable process, because my dream was to make the world’s best and most exclusive golf shoe, and I think this is what we have done.”

Each of the pairs of Premium 109 come within an excellent collector’s package. A cedar box containing a bag of exactly the same crocodile skin as the shoes, a platinum plate with the owner player’s name and the shoe edition number, and a gold-coloured silk bag.
